  1. Oh they look pretty neat. I can’t seem to find them readily available in UK but I imagine there are similar alternatives 🤔
  2. Finally back to my LC12B1 build (other stuff took over!) and was wondering how people fit a 3s lipo? Most batteries I’ve seen are over 100mm meaning the battery posts will need to be cut, so would something like velcro tape to secure the lipo be good enough in that case? Cheers.
  3. That’s good to know, thanks.
  4. Thanks both - much appreciated. DMS have suggested the Tenshock 6150 isn’t going to be in stock any time soon so the Surpass motors look like the ideal option. I’d be very happy with ~50 mph - anything more and I’d imagine the drivetrain will struggle. Just need to figure out the slight roughness in the diffs now. I’m probably going to rebuild them before running!
  5. I was wondering if you’d ironed this out? I’m currently building the LC12B1 kit and have found the same thing when building both the front and rear suspension set ups. It’s almost like the tighter I screw down the diff case, the worse it gets? Also I was hoping for some general advice: any recommendations for a motor and esc combo? I was planning to get a dumbo x6 from banggood so im not adverse to getting my other electronics from there either. My original intention was to get the Tenshock 6150kv from DMS but they’re still out of stock. However I’m looking for speed and running on 3s, so I’d imagine I should be aiming for something around 3000kv anyway? Cheers.
  6. Thanks for the welcome guys. Fair point on the quality. I reckon that’s enough to sway me to the EMB or something else. I don’t mind getting a bigger/better car now but I’d quite like to have that sense of an “upgrade” when it comes round to it. I’ve actually just had a look at that and it looks a great alternative. A few mod options too. Thanks for the suggestion!
  7. Hi folks! I thought I’d sign up instead of just browsing - the guides have been a terrific help so far as I’m a complete newbie to the RC car world. I recently purchased a Bezgar 6 1:16 (rebranded HBX 16889 brushed) off Amazon for a nephew and ended up having a ton of fun myself, so I want to buy a RC car of my own now! I’m looking to stick with the budget theme and have eyed out the LC Racing EMB-Tand its cheap clone the Wltoys 124019. I was wondering which you’d suggest for a newbie starting out? I’ve never tinkered before and would like to learn about RC cars in general (I’d like to upgrade to a brushless motor in the 124019 at some point), but the EMB-T seems to be a great piece of kit out the box and looks much more robust? Which would you suggest? I’ll probably invest in an Arrma or Traxxas later on but I quite like the look of these small cars to start of with. Off course I’ll be up for any other suggestions you make. Cheers, Jam.
