  1. Hi all, After a bit of advice. I recently bought a couple of body shells from L&L models (escort cosworth) with a view to painting/putting decals on them. They both look a little hazy/cloudy over the windows and roof area, but are clearer and more transparent towards the bottom of shell. Is this normal or am I missing something? Is this something a good clean will sort or is there another way to remove the cloudiness/haze? I'm also not sure whether they have a protective film that can be removed - I can't see one, but want to make sure before I start applying stickers to it. Any advice appreciated! Many thanks
  2. Hi all, This my first post on this forum - please be gentle! I'm looking to replace the body shell for my TA01 Escort Cosworth/Michelin Pilot version (58125). As seems to be the case with a few of these models, it was well loved when it was built and originally used, but that resulted in it making a few excursions off kerbs and over surfaces that weren't too kind to the shell that originally came with the car! I'm aware that original replacement shells for these cars are rare and can command high prices when they do pop up for auction. As a result I've got hold of a replica shell from L&L models and are now looking to get a set of stickers/decals from MCI Racing to finish it off. My question is - does anyone have any experience of using the MCI Racing stickers for this model? I came across a post/youtube video where someone had completed the pilot model using the MCI stickers, but the blue for the 'side stripes' and sun visor didn't quite match the recommended Tamiya paint colour (PS/PC4). MCI Racing's website allows you to change the colour (intense blue) to other options, but I wondered if anyone had done this and had an example to show? Any help or advice appreciated - if this isn't the best section of the forum to post this question, please let me know! Many thanks in advance!
