Thanks guys... some good advice there. Now the weather seems to by finally picking up I’m going to try and get out with it as it is over the weekend and figure out where to go from there. Have been looking at the hobby wing ace system so that’s probably going to on the list, also keen to get some weights for it to see what kind of difference that makes to it. @jens I’ll have a good read through your build, looks like that was a big project.

I’ve been considered if the big bores but think I am just going to go straight for the GTR’s agree that even stock the Rustler 4x4 vxl is one of the most fun cars out there. They are insane too.

Hi.. so I picked up a G500 towards the end of the summer last year and am looking for some ideas on what to do for upgrades. only managed to take it out a few times before the weather made it not worth it. Great fun in the mud and also tried a little crawling. everything stock atm, found the control and motor to be a bit weak. So looking for advice on motor/esc and also wheels/tyres and how to go about weighting it. cheers guys
