  1. I only bought my savage 25 RTR in march but so far i have intalled - A failsafe. £20 A fuel saver. £5 The throttle/brake linkage mod, as the stock throttle used to stick. £8 The steering mod, (with servo saver) £11 A Alloy Steering Plate £4 A new body shell @ £24 A center skid plate £8.50 A Set of spare screws and fixing for savage £14 My future mods will be - Spider diff mod 3 speed gear box Tuned side pipe Thats all i can think of at the moment. Im still happy with my engine and wont replace it till it dies i think. I love my sav
  2. Its all part of the learning curve
  3. I sorted it. i hadent removed the little brass bit from my old slipper. Thats it something so simple and huge problems...
  4. Hi, i need help please. I stripped some teeth in my 49 tooth slipper clutch, so i fitted a new one. This is the problem- The metal part that the slipper clutch attaches to via the slip pad, is getting so hot that its melting the plastic in the locking nut. Thus, making the nut work loose and allowing the slipper to slip whenever there is any torque needed. So i need to know - Why its getting so hot? and what to do about it? Thanks
  5. I went for the savage, but only because i have one and not the others. However i did choose the sav25 over the rest when i researched them. to add to that, have you seen the amount of aftermarket parts out there.

    Savage run in.

Thanks for your help, its sorted now, well on the way with the break in.
  7. Actually my mate whos got a savage on order suggested going to shipley glen! I havent been there for years but his dad lives there, and he says theres a great spot. Theres a couple of quarries near me though in shipley, i took my 'lectric 4x4 mt there and it rocks. Be better with a powerfull nitro though.

    Recomened fuel

Well im half way though the engine run in and as i said i have 2 gallons of 16. But when its gone i'll try the Tornado 25. Many thanks
  9. Bomb holes? is that the place on the opposite road to where you go down to the tarn. Where you can see the planes clearly (my son loves that place). If so i took my lecy truck there, it will be sweet with my sav. And the only time to get on at the tarn is if you take a day off work when schools on.

    Recomened fuel

Thanks guys. if i switch do i need to mix the new fuel with the 16? or just start a new tank with it and go easy like brake in?, or start a new tank and thats that??
  11. Whats the recomended fuel for a savage 25? Modelsport recomends performance 16. But the manual says use 20% nitro fuel. And i have been told on other forums that i should be using 20%. Also is it possible to switch fuels from 16 to 20 after run in? The reson being i bought 2 gallons of the stuff.
  12. And where do you take you RC truck. Also i live in Shipley, W. Yorks (a good 10 mile from modelsport) are they many RC fans live in that area?
  13. The track is a bit like the bmx track at Yeadon Tarn in west yorkshire. But the tarn has some much bigger jumps. It shook my electric wild dagger to bits, but was great fun.

oh great guess what! I cant get my savage started at all. theres good clean fuel in the tank. the tank is primed, as per manual. the glow starter is charged. i even changed the glow plug. i ran the rotostart with the plug out to try clear out the engine. with the glow started attached and when i try start it with the rotostart it all seems fine but the engine just doesent kick in. please help:(
