  1. I went to the newdigate yesterday, it’s very good down there. Lots of bits to jump over and some gravel mounds etc to climb.
  2. Just trying to show you the area we were in.
  3. Yeah I did try a couple of weeks ago. They had put plastic fences up in one area (which looked great) and signs saying trespasses will be prosecuted etc. So didn’t bother. There was a little bit of waste land on the actual path, however I wouldn’t bother unless you lived close. IMG_7198.MOV
  4. That route 67 goes straight through the area so it’s easily accessible. Haven’t explored much off the track but I’ve seen people around there so not sure how much is fenced off, if it is at all. Worse case you can just smash it near the cycle track area so it won’t be a complete waste of time. If I pop down I’ll let you know what it’s like.
  5. You can park on that little road off Merlin way, I’ve been down that cycle track a few times. Don’t think the businesses near there are open at the weekends so people park down there with trailers etc for their dirt bikes/quads.
  6. Do you know Stanton ironworks near Ilkeston, there’s a place around there where people use quad bikes etc. Was going to have a look there to see what it’s like. https://osmaps.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/route/3647885/Sustrans-Nutbrook-Trail The green part on this map near Hallam fields.
  7. Wasn’t sure if it would be frowned upon to go to places like Elvaston castle, I was looking at more spots of the beaten track. Didn’t want to upset folk and their dogs etc. Will have a look cheers.
  8. As you suggested, I hadn’t centred the servo correctly and the motor pinion had slipped off (must not have tightened it correctly). At least I’m learning how to fix problems!
  9. Brilliant thanks, I’ll try these first and go from there.
  10. So I’ve made my first car - Tamiya racing fighter. When I’ve turned it on ready to go the steering pulls to the right and the motor turns, however the back wheels don’t move. Any suggestions welcome, I’m a newbie so haven’t got a clue where to start. I’ve followed set up guides etc.
  11. Nice, someone mentioned a quarry near Crich that’s meant to be a good place to drive?
  12. Just made a Tamiya racing fighter, live near the meteor centre.
  13. New to Radio controlled cars, so it’s been very informative already reading through some posts. Any suggestions of places to drive around the Derby area? Thanks 😊
  14. Hi guys this has really helped me to understand what I would need to put together my first car. Any recommendations for controllers I should get to go with the parts you mentioned above Alex? Cheers.
  15. Thanks guys I live in Derby so I’m looking for somewhere to go when I’ve got my first car. American adventure would’ve been a great shout! Will have a look at the Crich area too when we’re allowed to travel further etc.
