It's still new to me as my carnage was pretty much always cold and of course this is a lot heavier and faster than that was!You can feel with finger .
No need temp gun if you feel system is cool.
If you feel that is hot , then you need temp gun and check out more.

Temp Gun is always the best .
Humans may feel heat different to others .
LAST BUT NOT LEAST.
I have seen many temp only motor and esc.
You need also take temp of your Lipos.
If your Lipos is hot, you need solder better connectors maybe, and soldering great is important too.
Poor solderings will be fail. Hot runs
Make sure soldering great connections. Use alot soldering.
Pre solder , then connection solder extra .
Check that you have GREAT LIPOS
25c rating lipos is not great for speedruns and hard bashing
Mostly you want 50c or more
Me self had 25-30c lipos,
these sucks
Today i got 55-150c rated
And now i have great times with my RC Cars.
Less than 50c is for slow rc fly or drones

Highspeed fans and esc that put atleast 7.2v is best for hot day bashing. High BEC.
in worst case use separate BEC that is better than stock ESC
6v most, that most RTR stock ESC and fans have, will mostly fail if you want more speed ( big motor pinions )
This is easy fix
Buy ESC with 7.2v BEC minium, and then highspeed fans both to motor and ESC.
change the stock fan to ESC also is great to do. Cheap also
Heat is Poison to performance.
Electornics dont like alot Heat.
High voltage BEC and hight speed cooling-Fans Is very important if you like to bash hard summertime
High speed fans and BEC will save you money in the end.
Cooler combo, means , more Lipo lifetime, , less service, bearings in motor and close to main diff at motor will need alot less service,
LIKE oilchanges, bearing changes too.
And so on.
The combo self, like motor, and esc that runs cooler will also last longer, maybe 50-100 runs more.
You will save alot money and time if you buy great cooling fans and BEC update.
Lipos, combos, barings, oils, and so on will be alot more durable with cool combo compared to hot.

the other important thing to me is that this rig fits
standard size 5000mah lipos 2s
most modern buggies 1/10 fits only Shortys
And i dont have any shortys.
I got 10pc 2s 5000mah in perfect kondition, almost new ones
i got cheap from Kina couple months ago.
I need more cars i can drive them with
Buggie like this and couple crawlers and also DR10 dragcar
i will have 7700kv old caste motor i have to that No Prep

Just took mine to a golf course, may have slightly tweaked the front shock mount as it cart wheeled for about 20 feet lol, both front shocks popped off but i can bang it back 😂 awesome first run though. Put the heatsink/fan on the on the motor but still getting very hot, i'll have to get a heat gun to check it, can't pick the car up from underneath the motor after a run it burns my hand! The one thing i liked about the max10 was knowing it had the thermal cut off for the motor.Defo need to do the shocks with 50wt

Brush , Nano clean, and protect spray , i link one that keep the rig smooth anti antistatic to dirt

2 spray little of this protection spray, let it sit like 1hour,. and wipe dry then with a peace of old t shirt
or trousers. 100% cotton, you can use the same cotton many times to dry, it gets better with time,
more of the protection spray it builds up
This is the very best protect spray. , it does not destroy bearings like WD40 does
The best way is spray your brand new rc car whit this protective spray before first run.
And keep use this protective spray like every second wash
Best is use it after every wash
Silicone spray is also good, after washing like WD40 SILICONE, just avoid regular WD40
Make sure it is SILICONE WD40. Just avoid spray this to Electric connectors.
It build protective shell you cant see, and this will lead electric power alot worse.
Avoid this to Lipo Connectors in ESC also Lipos, protect them before spray

i will first second after i open this box change the combo to max8 150a with bigger 4274 motor, this is one 1900kv combo i have left over now
I will try run my USA-1 4s and do some gearing.
this will stay 4s , i have alot fast rc,s already, anyways i can sometimes go 6s if i feel.
The USA1- stock combo i will use in my old slash 4x4 at 4s , Because it is more ok, leight weight, and this car has small wheels size also.,
im sure the stock USA-1combo feels better here in one smaller SLASH than in
this huge 1/8 monster
