  1. As title, looking for brushless ESC and motor, doesn't need to be both at once. Looking for value as budget not endless, something like a Hobbywing 10BL120 would be perfect.
  2. Is this Woodbury in Devon?!?!?
  3. Hi, After something like this, a 2WD Schumacher KF2 or similar. Anything with readily available spares. Thanks, James

Thinking this may be the way to go, anyone had any experience of them? Seen a few negative comments elsewhere

No problem with brushed at all (planning on this anyway). Would prefer a buggy but will have a look at the Blitz

1/10th electric Not sure on price, less than a £100? Presuming coming without ESC/motor But willing to pay more for something better. Availability of spare parts important

Hi, After something relatively cheap for the children to use. Anyone? Thanks, James
  11. And I am so new I posted in the wrong place! Could admin or mod move to General - Electric please?
  12. Hi all, Used to race as a kid about 400 years ago and now keen to get back into it and get my kids involved (basically they can watch me!). Thinking of going for a Schumacher Top Cat as always wanted one and the simplicity of 2WD. Reading into it, everything has changed and feels like a different language now so after some advice. Will be using for fun but hopefully some racing (which locally will be indoors/short courses), so not worried about going superfast and don't want to break the bank either (and quite like the idea of longer run times). Looking for any advice about ESC's (hobbywing 1060 or 80 quid for one!! or even more for brushless!!!), batteries, motor, servo's, r/c transmitter/receiver etc etc (everything!), and whether some needs to be brand new or go 2nd hand to get up and running. Bit confused about whether to go brushed or brushless (realise would have to be greater than 17.5T on the basic setup either way) Will also likely end up buying another car for the kids to blast around in so potentially happy to spend a bit less now if upgrading later (although generally buy well once is my approach) and make sure I use it enough to warrant the investment.
  13. Hi all, Like many I am just getting back into this after many, many years away! (and realise its all a new language and one that I don't quite understand!) Anyway, after something to get me back into this, would be quite happy with an old cheapo that me and my daughters could run around without fear of it getting damaged, and/or something better/more expensive (as I will likely buy something better to race with that I wouldn't want destroyed by others). Obviously if it comes with all the gear then better, but still interested anyway and would then be asking for bits to go with it. I am fairly active so will respond relatively quickly but please be gentle as its all new and doesn't make much sense anymore!
