thanks for advice on diff will check it out, well pleased with the car all run in now and still trying to get it set up right. how soon should it start up ? first press of rotostart only it doesn't only after a few times.

Hi what engine mount would i need to fit an 18 engine to my MT ? my 15FE has screws that go through the base chassis directly into the engine but the 18 engines dont, just have the small castings either side. thanks mike

just been to a ripsped/halfords store and turned over a new 15FE nothing like mine is sooo much more compression. to pull my cord its like no resistance at all. anyone got an engine? mike

what do i need to fit the bigger engines? i see my 15 has integral screw locations for mounting to body but the 18 and bigger dont what would i need to do to fit bigger? mike

dont forget i am new to this!! well i have the engine here by my keyboard, tried to run car again earlier and it would start eventully but after about 10 foot up the road went to turn so dropped off rpm and bummfff it stopped got it running again after swapping for a different glow plug and up the road slow and bummff again stopped. it drives opk but it doesn't seem to want to stay running i am sat here now with engine in hand throttle wide open and i can turn the fly wheel with minimal effort. want to take head off but damn screws is tight!!! mike

What are my other options for the engine in my MT? can i / should i fit a bigger one in? cheers mike

Hhhhmm i think it needs a new piston and liner then, i have had it for one tank of fuel, it was supposed to have had a new piston and sleeve just fitted and run in before i bought it. to me it feels low pulls over really easily mike

Hi there compression on a 15FE, with finger over glow plug hole and pull the start cord what sort of compression should you expect? enough to push past your finger? what about if i pull the cord would the compression almost lift the car without holding it down? i think mine might be low cheers mike
