  1. Hi there, has anyone use or bought anything from euro.rc.co.uk? They seem to have really good prices comparing to modelsport or others. Has anyone have any experience with them? I don't want to spend 400 quid and not get what I ordered πŸ€”
  2. Hahaha, I have already ordered branch deflectorsπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  3. Rubicon is eventually finished, I think... 😁
  4. Had some fun yesterday with my RGT. It is very capable.
  5. Looks ace. Definitely proper headlights will add character to it.
  6. I must say I quite impressed with this kit and might get one myself. I was thinking about building Bronco using HPI kit but after reading this thread I will most likely get this ordered shortly. I might swap the body for Bronco and see what I could achieve with this kit.
  7. It lasted few months of fun with my last model and I'm already thinking about next one. I want to built old Bronco using hard body as there are decent kits. I want to try use HPI kit or Xtra Speed for chassis but I have one question. Both kits seem to have quite raised motor mount in front, especiall Xtra Speed. My worry is whether it will be enough space to fit Bronco hard body nicely over the motor? Has anyone tried this combination?
  8. Two words: smoothness + torque!!! Absolutely love the new motor. I didn't realise it will be such a difference 😳
  9. Little trip to the woods😁
  10. I will definitely do some reinforcing of the shell and maybe trim arches slightly. Front seems to be main issue. I will try to lift it a little bit. Time allowing I will do some better review. So far, I can say that it is very capable off road and looks ace😁
  11. My RGT arrived today and I must say I'm impressed. The only issue so far is the big wheels l which are actually great, are sometimes catching on arches when during extreme articulation. It has already damaged the shell slightly so I might actually think of switching to a hard body. However it looks really good. I just need to work out the lights.
  12. I ordered RGT version of this from China and will see how it compares. Ftx is apparently made in the same factory. Price wasn't bad either as it was Β£278..
  13. New motor installed. It didn't require ESC re setting so winner winner 😁 although it also 27T is seems more torque but I need to do some test on the trail.
  14. I received new motor couple of days ago so hopefully it will be fitted tomorrow. I went for Hpi Racing this time and will see if there will be any difference. I'm staying with 27T but, am I right in thinking that I will have to set ESC again with this new motor?
  15. That's odd the missing parts. Normally it would happen to me out of thousands of kitsπŸ˜‚. Hopefully they will get you missing bits
  16. So after drying the car in nice sunshine in the back garden I connected the battery again and after turning ESC on it made very silent beep and it blinked as it should. Still No reaction to throttle though. Second time off and on again and ESC is making correct beeps and blinks 😁. After using the throttle I could hear this characteristic whinny noise but very silent, almost like the motor was trying to turn. Few more presses and a little smoke emerged from the motor, so now I'm sure it is burned if it wasn't before πŸ˜‚. Anyway that means new motor. I will have a question which will probably be laughed at but I just don't know. What is the name for those connectors at the end of wires with most of the motors available? I want to try something different to Holmes and most motors have already two wires soldered on with the connectors I will need to pair with opposite connectors soldered onto cables coming out of ESC...
  17. Thanks for quick reply. I wil check receiver box but I doubt that any water got in. I'm just worried that ESC doesn't make any sound at all and the led is not blinking. Hopefully it's only a motor. It was going full throttle in the water for a few seconds before it stopped
  18. As per above. I went to have some fun in mud today with my jeep. Battery fully charged, no longer than 10 minutes after started to drive, at going through some muddy paddle the car just stopped. It was not even submerged for longer than approximately 20 seconds in total at few attempts. It just stopped reacting to throttle. Steering is working OK. I turned it off and on and it didn't make any difference. It beeped and blinked the first time but after that is not beeping and blinking anymore... πŸ™„ Did I just killed ESC somehow? It seemed to be waterproof so I cannot see the issue. Anyone had a similar problem? Obviously I will try again once it's gonna be dried after wash from the mud.
  19. I might actually re consider kit without portals. This Hpi seems to be very good deal. I can't make my mind up. All I know it's gonna be most likely a pickup truckπŸ˜‚
  20. Can I ask where you got the kit from?
  21. Thanks guys. This cheaper kit from China is very tempting actually. I know that TRX will be good. I completely forgot about them. I need to do some serious thinking. πŸ€”
