ive had it running now by putting a little oil down and it started but when i turn it off again it wont start back a 2nd time.im thinking now its a compression problem,can you get piston rings for them?

thanks for the response mate,the piston and the ring are the right way in,and the plug is dry.i havnt checked for a spark but will do.the coil wires are also tight,cheers.i hope it is the plug.fingers crossed!

thanks for your reply,im assuming the piston is lined up because there is only one way it can fit in order to get the head back on.the nipple on the piston stops it from slipping round if im not mistaken.

hi there people,just registered and im in need of some help.i recently stripped down my engine to clean it,it seemed like a good idea at the time!anyway its all back together now exactly as it was but for reasons unknown to me the thing refuses to start.the pullstart is working as the piston is going up and down and im also getting fuel to the carb,it just wont fire.has anybody any ideas?thanks guys.
