@steephill The body on that looks so good I’ve just been window shopping on MS to look at prices 😂

It’ll be interesting to see how it looks lowered - I think it’ll be a stunner.

The TRX4 is an itch that I’ve not scratched. I’m not sure why though, they’re a great bit of kit.

And so it begins… 
 

This was going to be a quick and easy refresh - a new body (that I bought 3yrs ago) and a new set of wheels (that bought last week)…but that plan didn’t last long 🤣 
 

So nothing had changed with my 10.2 since my last update 3yrs ago..

It’s funny seeing my first attempt at roll cage again…WAAAYY TOOO heavy but I learned a lot about brazing. 

The new MST JP1 body still looks great to me.

 

But those old wheels have gotta go!

This is where my cunning plan started to go sideways.

I trimmed the body when I first got it, but hadn’t noticed it didn’t really line up that well on the chassis - it’s not a mile out but it would bug me not sitting square on the frame. 

 

I don’t think it’s the body that’s twisted, I think it’s the chassis - I mean, it has more holes in it than a second hand dart board and has been apart more times than I can remember!  
So I decided a new chassis was called for and after a bit ‘surfing’ I’ve settled on the Rock Pirates Interceptor chassis along with some other goodies from RPRC…the shipping is £25 regardless, so might as well cover all the bases and make the most of it.

Vanquish Product's VS4-10 chassis kit - used.  Comes with a modded Scalerfab front bumper. £65

Hobbywing Axe 550 3300kv brushless combo. Used.  Works perfectly, loads of grunt, would suit a heavy rig - TRX4/6 or similar.  The fan was removed due to body clearance issues but after it was all neatly fitted - so I cut the wires but these can easily be soldered back together if needed - it runs nice and cool. There are tags soldered in to the main power leads (under heat shrink) where I had a direct power servo hooked up.

I bought this a few weeks back, upgrading from my 2 line kites, but I’ve only flown it a couple of times because I just prefer my 2 line kites.  I paid £199 direct from Flexifoil, so my loss could be your gain. 
It’s got a 2.6m wingspan and will drag you about in a decent wind, and if it get a bit too strong the bake lines will bring it back down safely. 
In as new condition and comes ready to fly.

I’m running an HW AXE in my 410 and it’s that (Cruise control) feature that I actually don’t like about it.  I’ve turned it off in the settings to gain a better ‘feel’ but I still prefer my HH brushed setup in my 10.2.  
 

It’ll be interesting to hear what you think of it when you’ve had some wheel time with it.
