I use the xo-01 driveshaft on mine but you need to change the rear hub, so this is not a cheap one, gpm makes alloy driveshaft and fastrax are the same don't know if they are good.

Lost week it was snow and freezing, this week it looks like it is spring over here, so I take advantage of it and painted the body
The body is metallic black and the seats ar white, the black has a nice sprarkle in it but in the picture you can not see it maybe later when I make some pictures in the sun.

On a side note, what radios are you guys using?
As i mentioned I was going to mod an existing switch on my Radiolink RC4GS......well that didn't go so well. Managed to cut the aerial cable during the partial re assembly (don't ask!!) so now its FUBAR
Thinking of alternatives, I've got the 6 channel version of the above in mind but(around £80 with 2 receivers) but any worthy alternatives around the same price, considering that if you pick the 'power bundle 2' at Modelsport you get a 3 channel Absima CR3P and 1 receiver
I am going to use my radiolink rc4gs, I do not see why this radio would not work, I use the radio also to shift on a tamiya 3 speed semi truck, you can program the 3 and 4 channel for it.

so long as just a tiny bit of backlash that should do it
ohh remember to threadlock metal to metal screws
there is a little bit of wiggle room in it, most of the time you can see between the spur and pinion gear and is it easier to set.
Did Not forget the threadlock👍, I have a bad habit of using to much threadlock and things get stuck when I have to replace parts, and then have to use a torch or buy a new part because of screws broke of, I build a lot of cars but I never learn on that part, always think that things go loose when I apply a little of that stuff and then put to much on it, and I use a green low strenght threadlock.

Love the low speed control
that looking good, do you run 2 or 3s in yours, mine gets a 27turns 550 can motor in it, but I have not a idea what kind of speed I get on 2 or 3s, I have 2 and 3s packs only the 3s packs are a little on the heavy site.

A turnigy 3190kv 3665 can motor to replace the castle 1410 3800kv motor in my rustler 4x4 , the castle is a 3652 can motor in the cold weather the temps are good but when it gets warmer in the summer I do not want to cook the motor.
And a turnigy 550 27 turns brushed motor for my hobao dc1 build, some heat shrink and shims

I thought that alloy beadlocks are expensive, but they are not so I ordered this ones, https://nl.banggood.com/2PCS-ZD-Racing-1_9-inch-Aluminum-Alloy-Wheel-Hub-for-1-or-10-RC-Car-Crawler-Axial-SCX10-SCX10-II-90046-TRX4-D90-p-1530674.html?cur_warehouse=CN&ID=6157193&rmmds=search
and the same tires as @stormbringer https://nl.banggood.com/4Pcs-RC-Car-114mm-Tires-for-110-RC-Crawler-4WD-SCX10-CC01-Wheels-RC-Car-Parts-p-1272058.html?cur_warehouse=CN

I hope for you that the car is in stock then, esc, servo and motor you can order in many webshops, bought mine dc-01 kit for £219 but that was in a local Dutch webshop, the hobbywing wp1080 and power Hd servo I ordered from asiatees for £45 and the motor from hobbyking for £7

Congrats mate yeh the stock wheels are usable but might be usefull to weight them
What colour you doing yours ?
good to hear that the stock wheels and tires are usable, don't know if I need weight in them, going to use the car only for runing in the woods some mud and run over some tree roots, not using it for hard core crawling.
ordered 2 colors of paint for it not decide what color it wil be, I ordered pearl black and pearl green.

the kit arrived today, so now I can start building it, ordered a hobbywing quickrun wp-1080, power hd 20 kg servo for it and a cheap 550 27 turns motor al the elektric parts cost me £51 so that is not braking the bank.
How are the stock tires and wheels ? I did want to buy new ones right now, maybe later.

welcome to the DC1 owners was it the kit or rtr you got ?
kit, I am not a big fan of always buy the kit version if it available, my Tamiya MAN truck that I bought last month have to paint a lot of abs plastic so because of the weather here, snow and cold I can not paint so that project is on hold and I am out of projects, the lexan body I can paint inside the house with an airbrush, the paint does not smell that bad and is not toxic.
I looks like a very nice car, and it looks like it does not need a lot of upgrades, the only thing I ordered are the dual stroke springs.

Gave the Yeti a good 4 pack rip, ran like a champ.
Tried to run the new Big Rock, kept cutting out, been in touch with Logic, they say basically tough luck, ESC connector has been changed, no warranty.
Last Arrma I will buy, the Senton definitely has cogging issues, this has severe cogging issues, they haven't addressed that which I thought they would have by now... I got 6 clips of the truck which is how many times it failed, none of the clips are longer than 2 minutes, that includes the walk of shame lol.
So, note, Arrma ESCs only like EC5 according to Logic, why?!
Elecs will be ripped out and go in the bin most likely.
Very disappointed in the truck and the response.
And there is some footage to come 😄
I had the same bad experience with my arrma typhon 3s blx, the blx 100 esc is just crap even with 55/100 5200 mah batteries I just get 8 minutes drive and at full throttle It cuts out after a few minutes, with the same batteries In my rock rey and rustler 4x4 I get 25 minutes drive time. I was very disapointed with the arrma, broke the suspensions arms very easy, then the crap radio and servo, leaky shocks, gear and pinion mesh that where to tight so I had to buy the adjustable motor mount, had a lot play in the wheels, and the ring and pinion gears where to tight on mine and bind like grazy even when I shimed then, so this was the worst rc car I ever bought, arrma though🤮, even my tamiya cars are better then then this piece of junk.
I still don't know why every one on the forum recommend the arrma 3s line, my Losi rock rey and ruster 4x4 are better cars.- 1
New Rustler 4x4 VXL drive shafts needed. Advice?

yes that are the driveshafts that made for the xo-1, they fit I have them on the front and on the rear but you have to use the rear hubs and the front knuckle because they stub axle is 6mm instead of 5mm and they use bigger bearings.
traxxas trx 6452 and 6451 for the front.
They are half the price because they sold as one piece and not as a pair, I have bought then for about £52 for 2 of them, so you need 2 off them.
