  1. so you recon thet temps up to 285 are ok, its soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo flat at 220 !!! will keep it up at 265-285 and see what happenz might get a spare p and L just in case!!!!!
  2. hello all just got my self a hyper 21 8 port after i fryed my old one. done the break in (heat cylced it with 4 tanks and half throt for 4 tanks, then tuned) i have got it tuned up to the piont of no improvment in speed, done the low end, and alligned the mid needle hole up with the HSN nedle hole. but the temps are bothering me abit! the guide with the engine say no more than 220F, some forums say up to 300F.!!!??? if i get it to run at 220, its crap, i lean it out to increase power until no improvement and then richen it up by 1/8 turn, but the temps get to 280-290, i think it even got to just over 300F on one occasion. so to be honest, im sh!ting my self i bit. no glow plugs have gone pop, no flame outs, it just runs like a screamer at 290-300! but is this safe, it just seems so flat at 220. any ideas, what does eveyone else run theirs at? or sud i throw the venom temp guage in the bin and stop worrying! or shal i order a new P&L now as i probably of knackered the engine in a matter of 6 tanks messing about with the tuning.!!!!
  3. hi chaps i was wandering if i could use the feild charger that i use to charge my rx cells to fast charge my glow start, or will it knacker it? dont want to fork out for a 12v glow start charger if i can help it. BTW i have the ywllow ripmax 12v charger.

  5. hello again hust been reading some stuff on compression. when i turn the fly wheel up to tdc it get hard to turn then eventually it turns over and the piston goes to bdc. does this mean i have very little compression, as some articles have been saying it sud be impossible to make a engine do a full cycle by moving the fly wheen with ur thimb? sud i be worried , the engine starts easy, starts no prob when hot, am i jus getting stressed over nout or what!!!!!
  6. thanks for your help guys, i will give it a go. btw i run a .21 engine. so sud i lean out the lsn until no improvment or stall then back off 1/8 turn to b safe? maby raise the idle to fast (just below bite), and this may give me what im after?
  7. ok, you will have heard this all b4, its about tuning.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i think i have set the hsn correctly i just turn it leaner until no chnage and then back off a little to be safe. but is it is the lsn (not the idle) im not sure about. i need the car to pick up with more bite than it is doing, and i was wandering if i sud lean out the lsn abit until the performance gets worse and back off, as u do with the high speed? itr runs smooth from take off, it just does not have PUNCH. it is not bogging at all, its hard to explain i was also wandering if the clutch cud be doing this tho. i just fitted a ally clutch set with harder springs. but the clutch bell was cleaned well as it had plastic ones in there b4 i changed them. so i dont think its slipping. the low end pick up needs, in my opinion to be alot better, just for out of corner acceleration. can anyone help me with this ?????
  8. hello all,# got a bit concerned last night when trying to shut off the engine. i did the usual thing of squeezing the fuel line going into the carb and nothing, it wouldnt stop!!! had to cut it out using my exhaust plug! what does this mean!!!!!!!! help!!!!

  10. yes mate, sorry for the caps, im a knob well im about to get on with proper racing, just want a good setup for grass abd dirt track with good sized bumps, also i just replaced my middle diff as i chewed it up, so what do they put in as standard?? how does the oil in each diff change the handling?????? could u give me some examples?
  11. HI LADS, WHAT DIFF OIL SHUD I BE USING IN MY INFERNO FOR THE FRONT REAR AND CENTRE, AND HOW DOES IT AFFECT THE HANDLING OF THE CAR???? I CAN SEEM TO SEE ANY INFO WHAT SO EVA!!!! I AM CONFUSED!!!!!!!! THX!

  13. me again, had a great bash this afternoon on the golf course (great bumps and humps) praticing my jumps, (which imho very well!!!) but my shocks have exploded twice on me. !!!!!!!!!!!! the little cir clip that holds the seals in pops out! maby going a bit ott , but surley they sud withstand this kind of torture!!! i have mp 7.5 shocks on my car. any tips

  15. ello chaps just got some lightened ally shoes for my clutch. i also go some hard springs which i just could not get on, so i resorted to the springi had b4, which are softer. what i wanted to know is if i use a ally clutch with softer springs will the pick up be quicker. i fitted them, took it out for a blast and the bite was graet, but i seem to think that it does not bite as hard as it did the otheday. if the clutch gets over hot, will it not bite as hard???? clutches seem to be a bit of a black art, and if somone can help me out with some good tips on the clutch, it would be very help full ta alot
