  1. Yeah they actually look the business. Comparing stock and RPM Arms, I think the stock ones look and feel stronger so that seems to be the way to go if you can get them for a decent price.
  2. Last time I ordered from T-Bone I was hit with a hefty customs bill. Which shipping option is the best?
  3. I'm probably going to just sand them off at some point and go for it, but let me know what you go for.
  4. I'd Recommend against the RPM arms. It seems ARRMA have changed the dimensions of the gearbox cover and they don't fit without sanding. Some info here: https://www.arrmaforum.com/threads/rpm-rear-a-arms-binding.4730/
  5. Yeah I'm realising this. But all the videos I watch, noone struggles as much as this. I'm just taking material off the inserts bit by bit until I can actually get the beads to sit nicely. I'm convinced it isn't humanly possible to get these wheels together without trimming the inserts.
  6. I shouldn't cut the foam? erm... too late 🤣 I have already rounded one of them off quite a lot and I can actually get it to fit like that still tight seriously though there is no way these tyres are going on without trimming the foam
  7. I think I ****ed up on tyres though. I have measured the new and old rims and they are within 1mm of each other. The tyres are loads wider though... They specifically say they are compatible here though, I wonder if they needed specific wheels to work or if this is just another noob moment. Probably a noob moment... After reading Prolines guide, I think perhaps I just need to trim the foams. Without the foams in, the types fit quite nice. I also don't see any way to fix something to these wheels other than glue. Fitting test without any foam:
  8. I ordered the wrong pins 😫 I should have ordered AR713009, but I actually ordered AR713029... 1.8mm short FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
  9. Yeah both of those would definitely push mine over the edge. If I go to a fuel car, it will probably be a 29cc petrol, but honestly Electric is so good now it's hard to justify.
  10. I didn't say when next year... but point taken haha. So far My missus does seem to bothered (helps that she has been out when most of the parcels have arrived)
  11. Yeah, have to admit I have been spying Crawlers, and also some road going cars. Kinda like the idea of a Tamiya Rover Mini as a scratch build.... but I'll save it for next year.
  12. They dont work with the stock ARM..... FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU Guess im going to order the RPM Rears then. Ordered... now im done... definitely...again...
  13. My order from Wheelspin was delayed with a few bits coming into stock, but yeah the RPM mudguards and wheelie bar should arrive tomorrow, along with an order from Modelsports, then the Rims and those Nylon washers on Friday.... then im done... definitely... Pretty sure they work with the stock arms. Judging by the rust and general mess on the back vs the front on my truck, I would say they're worth it even before installing them.
  14. I think it also would have helped if I pasted the link when I said: ... anyway... I need to stop spending so much money now as aside from the stuff im posting here, im getting lots of little extra bits here and there. I looked through my box of RC bits and I'm like, "oh yeah, forgot about those". Once these wheels are sorted and my diffs are re-oiled... I need to just run it for a while as it is and keep it maintained, buying only the replacement parts/fixings. In other news, this 3 in 1 oil really seems to have sorted these bearings out.
  15. I did say... Freaked me out man 🤣
  16. Sorry [emoji2359] Thought I had pasted a link but clearly I haven't: https://www.prolineracing.com/pc_product_detail.asp?key=C50E8AEAB9CB42AF9A00F10B7A6407E4
  17. Just have to wait and see I guess, I'm quietly confident that they will be universal hex...
  18. How did you find out they were keyed? It said in the description they work with "other monster trucks that require a wider stance" and they have 17mm hex, it didn't specify a special key. If they don't fit I will be annoyed.
  19. They're these ones, but I got them off eBay (still packaged)... Thought I was getting a good deal... But actually not so great.
  20. https://www.modelsport.co.uk/pro-line-interco-tsl-sx-super-swamper-3-8-traxxas-style-bead-all-terrain-tyres/rc-car-products/388193 Im also going to keep an eye on a couple of second hand ones on ebay... just in case they go cheap.
  21. I just checked, they do come with Foam
  22. I think I had (perhaps wrongly) presumed they come with Foam inserts...
  23. Thing is, like I said, sure all you need to do is slap either 1 or 2 (...maybe 3... but that might be pushing your luck a bit @ 7.5 total clearance from the bottom) of these on. If they get crushed then I can just change them whenever I take the assembly off. I would prefer to have some customisation, rather than none at all, even if right now it doesnt seem like I need it. Bearing in mind, the stock servo mount has a reasonable amount of give as it is, so unless you go with aluminium hop-up parts, there is plenty of give. It was definitely a loose nut that holds the steering knuckle that was causing the main wobble, but the wheel had also come away from the tyre a little bit. So I tidied that up with some super glue. 100% user error. I have definitely been doing this wrong as I had presumed the parts would be a bit more rust resistant. I don't have a compressor, but I do have a Compu Cleaner, which is pretty good.... its also SUPER noisy and I can't use it at the usual times I would need to. No chance I can get a compressor until I move. I've pretty much fully dismantled the thing to clean it up and clean off the rust. Also given it a wipe down with WD40. Some of the rear bearing were completely filled with grit though. I had to blast them with degreaser and they are now soaking in 3 in 1... they probably wont get any use as the Bearing kit from RCBearings with rubber seals are on the way. Annoyingly, I have had my first proper damage. That's one of the pin that holds the wheel hex adapter to the axle assembly (sorry if i'm getting the terms/names wrong) Not a bad breakage at only a few quid. I actually decided to against all advice and get some Pro-Line wheels and Pro-Line Interco TSL SX Super Swamper tires for no other reason that to just be different to everyone else... I'll let you know how that goes They're traxxas bead lock apparently so that should be interesting to figure out.
