About Me

Hi, I love all things RC, I had a few cars in the late 90’s when ready made Tyco ready made cars adverts were a plenty.   I was getting hand me down Hornet cars that were falling to bits to learn about them, I really enjoyed  it then as I do now. Having a long time out from the hobby things have massively changed brushless, lipo and employment.  I have had a variety of cars over the years from Tamiya and Kyosho both nitro and electric but for now I’m mainly into electric off road, however I like a good build thread for any kind of kit.  In time I’m looking to complete a TB-01 Escort Cosworth, as I feel such an iconic rally shell should be honoured with one of the most flagship rally chassis out there.  I know times have changes regards build quality and performance, I could buy and XV-01 kit and that would be that however there would be no fun in what I’m trying to achieve.  It won’t be a quick build as parts are scarce, but I am learning lots of useful information on here as well as Tamiya club.  I’m not specific to liking Tamiya cars it  just seems easier to get more info on them and ahold of parts. I have owned, a few kyoshos in my time from electric to nitro as well.  I recently completed a DT-03 Racing Fighter build and got the bug again therefor wanting to try something different.  A lot of folk say it’s not ideally suited to the TB-01  due to positions of mounts etc for the Cosworth shell and its more suited to the TA-0 chassis etc however I like a challenge.   Anyways I look forward to getting to know some members on  here and anyone with knowledge of the TB-01 please step this way,  my ears are all yours.

Sean
