Morning, I'm in short supply of Nitro Cars to mend.
I usually like the ones that haven't ran for a long while so if there are any in your lofts and sheds please do post here.
I buy one at a time usually because I use the resale money to buy the next project.
That being said, I'm not adverse to buying job lots or multiple cars if my budget allows!

I was given one a few days ago, I've got it running quite well now... How do you tell between TOKI and Picco made ones?
I assume it'll have Pro on the block?

Every brand and models have issues, nothing can be perfect 😃

Savages rule man, that thing will fire up straight away.

hHPI will be better quality, but FTX are alright these days... There are loads of parts for both. I'd pick the HPI 😁

Did this sell? I have my one still and I did some of the same changes to it a few years ago.

Would ya take £100 posted?

I've been watching him for years, great fun!

That's a lovely looking buggy 🙂

Looking around is the best way to find a rough idea... Some people are asking waaayyyy to much for Nitro cars lately. I'd say around £180 is a good price, however of course it's worth what the buyer wants to pay for it!
I usually sell them for around 150-180.
There are a few on ebay for £395 which is shocking 😲

Been a long time since I posted this thread about wheels not spinning. The thing is when I changed the pull start for a roto start I put back the one way bearing the wrong way so when I was starting the engine it started backwards and that was the problem. So now the engine starts the right way and now the wheels are turning correctly. Sorry to be a pain but the way I solved it was by back tracking what I had done then realising what I had done 🙄
I'm surprised it worked with the bearing backwards 🤣

Yesterday I finally mended the engine mounts on my Rush Evo! I've had it since it first came out... What year was that? Must have been 2005 or 6 surely? I was around 12 I remember going to my local RC shop with my saved up Birthday and pocket money to buy it 🤣
Anyway a few months ago the engine come loose and ended up stripping the spur which was the original one! I simply tapped the old holes with a slightly bigger tap, and put some new bolts in! It came out really well!

I put a reciver in my GTX2 so I can take it for a run, the original Spectrum radio gear was lost so I've taken some from another buggy for now.
It worked out well because the mixing is easy on the T4PM, I did think about using FlySky but the one I have doesn't do mxing and I didn't want to mess around joining the wires together 🤡

I found a HotBodies Lightening GTX2 🤣
Then took it for its first drive in 10 years... A bad receiver battery put that to an end though but I'll have it running like a dream soon!

I've had a few chinese soldering stations in the past but wasn't impressed with any of them, I have two Weller irons that are over 20 years old and work amazingly so I've stuck with those.
I've also got a Weller gas iron in my RC bag for repairs out and about, that's great too!
Good luck on your soldering journy dude.

How did this go?
I edit between 3-6 video's a week between 10-45minutes long for both of my YouTube channels and I use Premiere Pro on a MacBook Pro
Specs are...
MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015)
Prosessor 2.2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
Memory 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB
It takes around 17minutes to render a 45minute long video with little to no effects. If I've added lots of music and effects it'll be around 25minutes.
I'd be interested to know what you ended up doing!

You should have saw it before Covid. The whole thing was the shop, it took an age to walk round with lots on display!
Modelsport is probably one of the biggest model shops in the UK, if you look them up they're well in the millions.
Big respect to them man!

Maybe it's a sign 😄

Welcome dude. 🙂

Welcome welcome welcome 🙂

Interesting seems like most of you use the bigger shops.
I use wheelspin and modelsport occasionally if they have what I want at the cheapest price.
My main go to shops are ModelTune and Answer-RC though.
Also the smaller ones like LukesRCShop but that’s mainly for Savage parts.
ebay, hmmm not so much as new parts are usually fake/Chinese but I do use eBay for 2nd hand parts and cars for my videos.

Hello,
I’ve just put a Nova B5R in my Tekno and man it’s a great combo! Who else here has a Nova engine? What one do you have? What do you think of it?
Here is a short video of mine in a local industrial estate running like a dream!
