  1. Thanks 53HRA It's been on a few days and has a few watchers. I'm surprised how many bids have been placed already but any funds will go towards something for the boy although I have been tempted to get him a touring car to run alongside my ta03 ?
  2. Now on ebay http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/710-53481-19255-0/1?icep_ff3=2&pub=5575378759&campid=5338273189&customid=&icep_item=173662726956&ipn=psmain&icep_vectorid=229508&kwid=902099&mtid=824&kw=lg&toolid=11111
  3. Here's my old Meteor that I've owned from new. It's missing a couple of parts like dog bones, a couple of e-clips and a steering arm connector. I had originally planned to restore it for my son to bash but it seems that they have got a small following now and a few have suggested I should sell it on and replace it with something newer. Any thoughts on a good place to advertise? Is eBay an option or are there better sites to advertise on? I'd put it up here but don't have a clue about pricing and didn't want to start a what's it worth thread.
  4. My mistake pegleg. It's also probably down to me reading repliesand trying to get a 9yr old to get ready for school so again apologies. I thought I had a breakthrough and found an old dog bone in my spares bin but even though it is 55mm pin to pin and 61mm overall it doesn't fit into the cups. Back to the drawing board with that one. Gave it a quick look over and other than a couple of e-clips, two dog bones, two back tyres and a steering arm ball connector it's pretty much there. Maybe I should put it on eBay and look for something like a dt02/dt03 for the little one to bash with
  5. Hi pegleg, sorry if I offended you by posting on two forums but I wasn't sure if I should be asking questions in a welcome thread. I have only really been able to find a length for the driveshafts (sorry, "dog bones") so it may be a case of order a few and see how it goes. Fly in my soup. Thanks for your reply, I can see how getting something newer would benefit but I think part of me feels a meteor with missing parts wouldn't be very appealing to anyone.
  6. Thanks, the best Google has given me is the shafts are 55mm but that could mean 63mm overall as the poster wasn't overly specific. The shafts from mine went to help an rc10 keep racing back in the late 80s/early 90s and I forgot I had it until recently lol. He's been using my old TA03R-S but I'd rather he learned with something a bit more robust and capable of off road fun.
  7. Is it just the transmitter or do you have a receiver as well?
  8. New member so apologies if I've posted in the wrong area. I've been wanting to put my old Meteor back together for my son to enjoy / learn with / bash but I'm struggling to find a pair of drive shafts. Can anyone help or does anyone know what size they are? Thanks
  9. Hi, I found this site while looking for information about my old Mardave Meteor that I planned on turning into a bit of a basher for my son. It seems they are liked more now than when they were released but I've been struggling to get a pair of drive shafts if anyone can help? Thanks
