  1. This was the model that started the whole RC crawling hobby for me - but I couldn't justify the outlay.Good things come to those who wait (or so they say) - one of my colleagues at the flying club had taken the plunge with this groundbreaking platform early in 2018, but he just couldn't like it - I made him an offer several times and he finally cracked last Sunday. The TRX4 with lights upgrade had been used for no more than an hour - the body was immaculate. I had thought that an Axial SCX10 II would be my next platform, but I have no regrets, perhaps that will happen in 2019.The initial test was aborted early when the accompanying Axial Wraith became fully submerged in a muddy puddle, which shorted the receiver. The second half of the test was a solo effort a few days later with slightly inferior light. Am I impressed? That would be an understatement. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rCYmm2TgWrY
  2. Some after work fpv practice with the Emax Hawk 5 and a digger ?
  3. It's been a while since I posted - but here's one of my recent fun crawls - enjoy!
  4. Some cool, slo-mo footage of the DHK Zombie 1:8 Brushless taken with my GoPro 5 Black at 120fps, then slowed to 30fps - Enjoy!
  5. The Holybro Shuriken 180 pro was going for silly money, I would normally build my own, but I was going through a lazy phase (messing with RC Crawling) - so rather then spend hours inhaling solder fumes, I bought this BNF 180 sized frame - I had to switch out the (dodgy looking) FrSky receiver to a EU LBT version from one of my other airframes and updated to the latest Betaflight - the first 3 flights are on default pids with my preferred rates. Enjoy!
  6. Thanks for watching guys, the Bronco is a lovely machine, it almost has a soul. But the Wraith is receiving most of my attention at the moment with upgrades to links, steering and suspension mounts - this hobby is even more of a money pit than flying :-)
  7. Lovely body and nice panning - did you film in 4k then use a dynamic pan/zoom? Cheers
  8. Me and our kid on our weekly RC adventure..

  11. Hello all, Just joined the forum. Started into RC about 5 years ago now. I began with micro quads and moved onto GPS camera quads quite quickly. I joined a flying club about 4 years ago and have switched to fixed wing both line of sight and FPV. I thought I had settled, but since August 2017, I have been experimenting with RC cars, already accumulating a HG P402, a TFL Racing Bronco (my fave), a DHK Zombie 8e (bashing) and most recently an Axial Wraith. I have spent a few happy hours perusing these forums in the Crawler threads - very useful indeed. I have a Youtube channel under Quad Damage FPV https://goo.gl/xQotxb The channel documents my personal journey through RC and FPV. I'm looking forward to exploring the depths of this forum and hopefully sharing some of my experiences with you all. Thanks!
