  1. Check for any kinks in the fuel line and also check for a dirty air filter if its been dirty and dusty
  2. Mmm! Sounds like its running really hot! I know its a 2 stroke, and sorry if this sounds really dumb, but you have added the 2 stroke oil? I needs to be specifically 2 stroke oil. Failing that it might be that the fan is not turning to cool down the engine. The only other thing I can think of is a kink in the fuel line. There might be enough fuel to get through to keep the car going but if the flow is weak enough it may cause the engine to run lean? The only other thing is that the fuel screws have been adjusted and the engine is running really lean? You should see health smoke from the back of the car, not shear clouds, but you should still see a healthy stream. If the car is being run flat out over long distances, as the car heats up it will run leaner, you may have to enrich the fuel screw a little. Do you have a hand help Heat temp gun? just to see what the temp is on the head?? Cheers Glen
  3. Hey SeanOD, not too sure but what goes tight? Is it the pulling starter cord or the engine will run but goes tight? The guys here are normally on the money but if the engine goes tight it might be a bent or stuck valve. if the engine runs but when you apply the throttle, that would sound like something's bent on the gearing. check the clutch in case it's all gummed up. If the little friction plates are stuck to the sides of the clutch plate you won't get the engine started as your trying to start a car in gear. id disconnect the clutch and see if the engine runs and take it from there
  4. The Lower wishbone Suspension arm seems quite delicate and easily break, Ive replaced 2 in 2 days might be better to order a couple just in case you should get 2 for around £18
  5. Hi Jimplops No Luck, Nitrotek are limited to what they can supply, so I had one of the 4x4 shafts go down, and my replacement is to purchase another 4x4 kit £99. So I've had to go to Aliexpress.com etc to get parts, so it takes a few weeks but at least I can get them. There is a Guy on ebay who has a fair range of bits but not critical parts, so I have to keep looking Im going to speak to FS Racing direct to see if they will supply me parts
  6. Hi again, so I’ve had my FS Racing 1/5 car out at a golf course beside the beach, great place for the car, it’s out in the rough but smooth enough and doesn’t pick in hardly any sand, any way I digress... the car disappeared into a Bunker, on its wheels but I didn’t notice at the time but a fair bit of damage was done, it burst of the bottom of one shocker, the lower suspension mount, and the Axel Diff cup, but I’m struggling to replace with Alloy parts. would you have any idea of who may supply FS Racing parts for a 1/5 car, either in the UK or abroad. thanks for any help kindest Glen
  7. RevoMikey, Seriously!!! How cool is that!! I have a few cars so this will save a Bob Thanks for that really appreciated
  8. Thanks RevoMikey, Its all a bit weird as it doesn't look like its been cut or snapped off, but Im getting next to no rage with it, but once the new T&R was installed it worked perfect, but I dont want to throw away the other bits, but Ill need to test them to see what Broke
  9. Thanks Mond, The screws are underneath and if you remove the screws the whole Diff just falls apart, so I was thinking that there must be an easier way?
  10. Hi There Again So I’ve installed the 4x4 kit but there doesn’t seem to be much happening with the front wheels! So as it’s been pointed out on another post it will be down to Diff oil, just a wee problem Where on earth do you pour it in? All the Diffs are sealed with no apparent holes or caps to pour oil in, would you have a clue how the oil goes in? cheers Glen
  11. Ok, just a quick update, so I purchase a Flysky GT3C and the first thing I noticed was the Receiver antenna was slightly longer than the one on the car, but the car antenna doesn’t look broken? Anyway fitted it up, really carefully to make sure it’s not snagged, and tried the old girl out, and off she went for miles!!! So I’m not too sure what’s happened but at least it’s fixed ? So thanks for all the help ?
  12. I noticed that when I got the car, there is a big cog in front of the engine and it was covered in copperslip, so I'm thinking If that cog has it, I'll stick it in the Diff? Is that a no then ?? It seems to run ok but then again it's not been Dogged to death and ran for 2 hours, it's been 10 mins here and there. So you recon it should be changed? I've ordered a new system, but I'm going to pull apart the current one to see if I can pin point anything.
  13. Thanks for that. I maybe shouldn't have said Kinks, it's just bends no more than around 45 Degrees. It's just enough to keep the Ariel straight. it is a bit weird as we have no pylons for miles, but there is something!!. This car is Brand new, about a Month old, but I'll get another system just to see. 4x4 - I'm a bit worried now as I put loads of Copperslip on the Diff at the front, as I noticed it had Copperslip on the cog in the middle of the car... so should it be changed asap and what might be a good oil/grease? thanks once again Glen ?
  14. Hi there, so a quick update on the FS Racing 1/5 Iron Fist. It’s now Fitted with the 4x4 Kit a K&N Filter and the Tuned exhaust, and although the weight has increased so has the speed!!! The 4x4 doesn’t seem to help it much, it’s just spinning!! If you give it the Beans, so I was wondering if I’ve installed the 4x4 wrong? Can you install it wrong? Anyways I digress. there is something around our area that upsets the cars but with my old GS Racing Nitro I bought a Absima System and it works a treat. But the FS Racing System That came with the car seems to be getting worse? So I can only control the car about 30m away before it comes to a halt, you can pull the trigger and there is a delay of around a second then the car can bust into life. Now I’ve taken the car up into the forest nearby and it’s nearly as bad, I can get nearly 50m and the car dies. im stumped. All batteries freshly charged. As the car has a 3ch Receiver I thought, Just get a Flysky as I think it’s the same thing, the Receivers are identical. But then I thought why not get another System? But I need to make sure I’m doing nothing wrong before I get another system. this does seem slightly worse since I installed the K&N as the Ariel has now a small kink so I can keep it straight Any thoughts? thanks once again for any help cheers Glen
