  1. thanks! Once again thanks for all the help and teaching me how it works and how to sort it! And it's just the one that was with my wr8 got a switch for french mode on the back god knows what thats for aha and 3 switches on the front to reverse the channels aswell! does changing the end points just alter how far the steering or throttle servo can move it each direction?
  2. It's alright all sorted now carb opening and closing as should and braking not affecting carb at all so all good! I just moved the servo horn like span it forward 1 tooth and now it's all working great! And I can actually do the end points on my controller I've never messed with them tho! I'll attach a pic of it to this showing all the adjustments on the controller
  3. Hahaha I won't not driving it round just starting it! What will be cause the throttle to stay open abit? Cause it's not revving high enough for it to move but it's higher than idle if you know what I mean like idling really fast
  4. Okay I'll give a quick run in a minute neighbours probably won't be impressed but I'll be quick haha Thanks for all the help anyway really appreciate it! Main thing was the braking thing cause you'd brake come to a stop then as you let of the brakes it would shoot of haha glad that's sorted
  5. Nothing at all happening carb end when I brake now but it's staying open a tiny bit when I throttle on/off
  6. Does this look any better? This is with throttle off
  7. Okay thanks aha and the black screw to the left of the small white rubber bit is that meant to be dead tight or does it need to be able to slide through it?
  8. The bit at the 'front' (closest to us)?
  9. Yeah I think it's opening fully! And how's that setup working on yours looks a lot different to mine! Won't let me post a picture saying file size to big or something but on mine where you have the near 90 degree horn mine is just a straight bar with more linkage coming off it
  10. Well I've just sprayed the linkages with wd40 had a mess with all the spring bits and the horn and the trim setting on the controller and now when I brake and let off no throttle!! don't know whether it was sticking like you said or it was something else I'm not sure but all working properly now! Well I think it is haha this is my first 1/5 and petrol only ever had a nitro before this also with the big petrols is there normally a bit of lag (don't know if lag is the right word) but like when I try to accelerate it seems like it has to get to quite a high rpm before it moves whereas the nitro just shot off pretty much instant, is it just the clutch on it cause they're centrifugal aren't they? (When I said I'm new to this I meant more of the electrics/servo side of things with the actual engine/carb and other bits I pretty much know what I'm doing) Thanks for all the help aswell!
  11. Okay I'll try the trim thing you mentioned and will it let me post on video on here? I'll post a few pictures aswell and yeah the servos are stock as far as I know
  12. Hi unfortunately no I haven't got another servo to try out, did you figure out a way around it or some sort of adjustment? Thanks
  13. What would that be a case of spraying some wd40 on the linkages or is it more complex than that? And well I got the car this week got it second hand but pretty much new (only been ran for half a tank) but it had no radio gear so I already had a HPI wr8 3.0 so at the moment I'm using the receiver and transmitter from the wr8 I'm my dbxl
  14. Thanks! And how do I go about doing that sorry if this sounds stupid aha and the thing that I can't understand is that if I full throttle on the controller it opens the carb up and when I let of on the controller it returns to it's closed/neutral point on the servo but when I brake obviously it brakes but then when I let off the brakes it slightly opens the carb? But if I tap the throttle a tad after braking and the carb being open if I blip the throttle so to speak then it will go back to its normal position
