So helicoil kit arrived at work this morning. So I can start work on the links this weekend. So hopefully I can get them sorted.

So the slw hubs I got don't line up with my wheels. So that's a bit pants. The bolts are off my about 1mm all round. So they are no good. Have ordered some vanquish ones. So hopefully that will sort it out. Always one thing that stops you finishing a project.

So I realized that its 3mm I need for m4 bolts. Silly mistake that was. So now need to find the tube in 3mm or get a helicoil to fit. More messing about with it. But apart from that. Just waiting on my hubs and links to make. Then I think the main build is done. Then just tidy it up and get some scale parts for it. And then probably start on a different car.

So my 6mmx4mm tube arrived today. So I can get that cut and tapped this week. Good times.

So after a lot of messing about and redoing stuff over and over again to get it right. Finally its all coming together now.

So after bloody ages trying different combinations of links I have. I have finally got them all right. Used 4 from the set I received this week. And 4 old scout links with a spacer in it. So just need to make some nice ones when my parts arrive this week. And then that should be sorted. Then just sort lights. Trim shell a bit. Fit new bumpers after I pick them up tomorrow . Then wait for the wider hubs to arrive. And then I think we are good to go.

So the links I ordered on e bay are far to long. Ment to be 313mm wheel base. But its coming out way longer then that. So I have kept the smaller bits and ball ends. And I found what I needed on e ya for £1.25 each. 6mm by 4mm by 250mm all tube. Ordered 4. And a tap to run the m4 bolts. So just wait for them this week. And then I can make up some links.

So had a mess with it again tonight as I'm still waiting for the links I ordered 2nd of December. Got it just about right now. Just need to cut the body a bit more. Move a couple of bits about. Then look at getting the last bits for it. Then sit out the lights. As you can see I cut the ends off the old yeti links I had and fitted a ball joint. Seem to work ok for now.

And have ordered some bumpers . This time hopefully in the right size.

I did think about making some. But no idea on What to use. Did have a look about but couldn't find what I needed.

Apart from the rear links being to long. Still waiting for my ones to arrive. the bumpers being to wide. May order some more on e bay. Not far off being done now.

I have ordered some wider hubs and the right hex for it. So that should help. Now its just wait for parts. And then go play.

Well you never know. I may find the time to take it out for a spin.

2.2 . I need to change then I think. They are a bit to long. Need to maybe sort out wheel arch. To get a bit more space. The back end is very long. So think front won't change a lot. Back will move forward a bit. Still need to mess about with setting to get it right.

So axles arrived today. So will get them fitted later on. So now its just bumpers and links to come.

So need to sort out the fitting. And the links when they finally arrive. Thinking it should be just about right.

She is very very good. Does paint work for a living. £40 to do this for me. Inside of shell is silver.

So my friend finished my body shell for me. So not it's just wait for the axles and links to arrive.

So more parts arrived for the build.

Its been changed again since that pic. Still not right. So Still messing with the set up. Will be sorted when new parts arrive.

So e bay sent me a 20% off anything I biuy today. So I have ordered a set of bumpers for this project
