Hell horn.

£45 for the 4 from the UK. So quick post times. Will need to order hubs if you need wider ones. As you get a set of thin hubs with them. Cost me £10 for 4. So not bad.

So made up a metal plate for winch. Sorted. Fitted a guide on the front for it. Will order a better one later. Powered up. All good. Just need to adjust ch3 to make the winch work. Bit of a pain having to mess with end points every time. But for now it will do. So next jobs. Tidy up and sort lights out. I will get a video of it hopefully later on today.

Item number for a set. 182800107475. Will need to order some gds hubs for them. As they are very slightly different from axial and vanquish wheels.

I have 2 sets of wheels form China. Very nice stuff. No problems with them. And for tyres. I run proline super swamper on both rigs. Lovely things. E bay shop is. Planedeals has a range of rims.

Making a cardboard cut out of the mount I need to make for the winch. Just about sorted. Ready to cut out of metal tomorrow.

I will have a tidy up when its all come together. No point when I'm still working on it. And stuff might change.

Want it all to fit under the hood to keep all the weight in a good place. Cut out was so it fits a different car. But it does happen to fit this chassis and bumper well. Needs a mole cutting for winch line. And a guide over the servo so it doesn't snag on it. Not to hard to make something to fit.

Winch fitted inside body. Need to finish off mounting it. And run the line out from the front. So might need to make something to hold it

Looks spot on to me. Needs a couple of good stickers now. And a good beating to Get it looking right.

So some part of the gear system is making an odd noise. So have ordered a new motor and pinion gear. See if that sorts it. Will strip gear box down and have a look at that at the same time.

She lives. Got the hubs in the post today. So that's wheels sorted. Got my transmitter to bind with receiver. Powered it up. All good. Set servo up. All runs as it should. Just a bit more messing with panhard bar. And make a battery holder for it. And then lights. And then take it out and bash the hell out of it. Pics to follow later.

Bit more messing with the scx10. Bumpers fitted. Bit of modification needed to get it to fit. But all good now. Link length just about worked out. So can start making the rest. Next is probably going to be a light bar and then sort bumper lights out. And find a battery tray.

So not much free time this week. Real life does tend to get in the way a lot. But I have managed to do a couple of jobs on the scx10 custom truck. Mounted some spring adjusters to more the front shocks back a bit. As they did sit way to far forwould. Now they work better as they don't rub. Panhard bar started. Needs some tinkering with to get it right. But its better then it was. Front bumper arrived. Just need to cut the mount down and fix it the truck. Rear bumper got lost in the lost. So they sent me a replacement but its going to be a couple more weeks for it to arrive. Pain. Links are coming along nicely now. Found some more m4 rod ends so I can make some more links up. And have the hubs coming for the wheels hopeful this week. So that will be them sorted. Now for some bad pics of my work.

So first set of links made. All fit lovely. Just 3 more sets to go. And then paint them all.

Picked up the new slw hubs. Bumpers I like ordered. Now just to finish off links. Get the electric parts sorted out. Then good to go I believe.

I upgraded my dif housing too. Loads better then standard. I'd like a bomber. But that will have to wait

Definitely get a Currie for it. Lovely bit of kit. Only pain is then having to swap the front dif around. As its a pain to do. Not a fun job.

Did look at carbon fiber. But a bit to much work for me at the moment. I also have some steel rod to use at some point when I can get a better vice to hold it in.

So then. Made a start on the home made links. First one is started. Worked perfectly for what I wanted to do. 8mm by 4mm Alu tube. Drilled out to 4.2 mm to I can then tap and helicoil it to run m4 bolts. Will be stronger then just alu tube. And i have the parts to make about 20 links. So plenty to mess about with.

So with the steel tube I ordered. I can't tap it to run the bolts I need with the tools I have. I can't hold it tight enough in my vice. So gave up and have ordered some alu tube. See if this works.
