  1. Great, ah cool thanks will check them out like the idea of just having to buy more rx's for other models instead of a whole kit.
  2. Oh yeah so it does don't need to worry about that then. Have found some battery packs just not sure which charger to go with it, looking at this for the battery https://www.modelsport.co.uk/index.php?product_id=363459
  3. Guessing I'm going to be needing a exhaust system too, would something like this be right https://www.modelsport.co.uk/hong-nor-bigbore-truggy-tuned-pipe-and-manifold/rc-car-products/33059
  4. Ah ok thanks, yeah the price does seem better on the power hd can get both for the price of one of the savox. Yeah am ready for bits to break remember going through loads of servos before getting a decent one with my touring cars when I was younger. Will have a look in to the battery's and charger. Does the receiver box that comes with the kit not really up to the job? Or does it not even come with one? Thats cool will keep an eye out then have found one so far for 130 but from an American seller and after just having a 60 quid product go to over 100 quid because of postage, customs and handerling charges not too keen to order from America if I can help it.
  5. Thanks again locky, so my my list of bit to get so far, transmiter + receiver, thinking ether https://www.modelsport.co.uk/absima-cr2s-v2-2-channel-2.4ghz-radio-control-system/rc-car-products/376271 or https://www.modelsport.co.uk/core-rc-code-2.4ghz-2-channel-fhss-sport-stick-combo/rc-car-products/38218 used to always use the stick types for my racing but the wheel types do look good. Servos, https://www.modelsport.co.uk/index.php?product_id=31644 https://www.modelsport.co.uk/power-hd-lf20-metal-geared-servo-red/rc-car-products/388829 engine, https://www.modellbau-bochum.de/LRP-Nitro-Motor-Z28-Spec3-Pullstart-32802 Fuel, not sure yet glow starter and plugs, not sure yet. Is this looking about right sofar? Like this
  6. Yeah thought so, will still take a look tho, be interesting to see what I had think I remember having a couple of team associates 1/10th cars tc3 and tc4 and I think and also a Schumacher fire bird evo, would love to get that going again one day, tho if I remember right that did take some serious bashing.
  7. Yeah live sort of in the middle of nowhere so nitro isn't a problem so will be sticking with that for now and have always wanted to give it a try, just surprised to see people changing them these days.
  8. Thanks Capri-boy will check them out and probably add them to the list. need to get back to my parents at some point and go through all my old bits and see if I have anything I can use already tho guessing most of my old electronics are going to be too old/broken now. Have ordered the st pro kit now so that should be here early next week, can't wait to get started building it. Have been reading through the st owners thread some great info there, see a lot of people convert too electric which I haven't seen done before, think the brushless motors were just coming out when I last race. Edit, would you use the same sort of servo for controlling the engine as you would use for the steering?
  9. Thanks, think I will be ordering the st pro. Havent built any rc stuff for a while so expect the build to take me a little while tho building it is half the fun for me. Will need to to start putting together a parts list to get it going, the electronic side should be fine with a bit of research tho guessing it has moved on a bit since I was doing it 15 ish years ago. But as new to nitro any suggestions on a good engine for the st pro? Thanks
  10. Hi all, Am hoping to get back in to the hobby after a long break. I used to mainly race 1/10 electric on road but always fancied a 1/8th nitro buggy/truggy. So recently I have been looking at different kits, I want to build it all so not a RTR and the main 2 i have found are the GS Racing XUT II Pro or HoBao Hyper ST Truggy Pro so was wondering which one would you go for? or should i be looking at something else? My budget is 250-300 for the initial kit. Thanks edit, swaying more to the hyper st at the moment as spares seem easier to get.
