  1. Thanks for your replies. Most important for me was to know if AX10 will fit. Will buy something aftermarket or Axial WB8 - they seem to be pretty strong and quite not expensive. It's a shame scout doesn't have a slipper. I still have plastic shafts in my brushless E-Maxx (quite fast and powerful) and with properly adjusted slipper they have only slight signs of twisting.
  2. Hi, After couple hours of driving I've twisted rear center driveshaft. Glued it for now but it will not hold for long. From what I've read on this forum and after analyzing AX10 Scorpion parts list it looks like Scout is more or less successful copy of Scorpion. I'm wondering if I can use some aftermarket driveshafts designed for Scorpion instead. WB8 driveshafts from Wraith and Ridgecrest looks solid, but I'm not sure if they will fit. What is your experience? I'm OK with some modding and fitting if it's worth it.
  3. Hmm... you're right. Completely forgot about RC4G and I was seriously thinking about it some time ago. Mainly for it's gyro receiver for my E-Maxx but then properly adjusted suspension and it "magically" started to drive straight. For the price of Bastens controller it's a good alternative - have to rethink that.
  4. Yeah I know that's possible with good radio. But Bastens is only 50$ and it will give me full 4WS with stock Scout radio. Lately was even close to buy Graupner X-8N but then realized that I need two radios (for me and my son) so gave up.
  5. Hi, Just got my Scout and all I can say it's awesome for it's price. Did fuel tube mod, changed oil to 30WT and this got rid of torque twist completely. Now waiting for some lead to weight wheels and wondering about 4WS. Stock TX and RX are 3ch so Bastens Quadsteer should give me all I want. I was afraid that it will be too slow with stock motor, but to be honest on 3s it's even a bit to fast.
  6. Thanks, That seems much more reasonable. If it's 70t then even 55t will give some additional speed to it.
  7. Hi, I'm about to buy my first crawler and I'm pretty sure it will be Scout. I'm trying to explain to myself that it will be for my 5yr old son, but well, you know.. Anyway one thing is completely unclear to me. On every place I can read that it have 14-turn motor but this is simply impossible - it's way too hot motor for a crawler. So my question is - what winding this motor have? I have one GM Pinnacle Diamant (27t) and one Briliant for my E-10 and I'm wondering if when used in Scout will gain or loose speed.
