  1. spot on Noj thanks very much.. peace of mind if the boy is out on his own with it.
  2. yes... Tx on 1st off last seemed to work... I wanted to check that It's the norm and that I hadn't caused a problem. It never did it when the old 27Mhz tx and Rx was connected.
  3. Ok.... I re-programmed the esc and it now brakes and reverses. Another issue I would like to run by you chaps. If the truck is turned on before the tx and like wise the tx turned off before truck after a bash the truck goes into full throttle. Can anything be done about this? .
  4. having looked I think you might well be right mate ?
  5. Hi all, I need to pick brains. Today I changed over the old 27Mhz tx and Rx to a Etronix ex2 pulse sport 2.4Ghz Tx and Rx on my boys Tamiya detonator truck. Plugged every in and fired it up, slight issue with the steering, soon sorted that. Forward ok, brake ok, no reserve. Before changing over everything worked fine so I swapped everything back and fired it up, same result, everything working but not reverse. So.... I started looking at the esc, an etronix probe wp. When reverse is operated the red led come on as should be but nout happens. So I unplugged the motors and tested the voltages coming from the esc, 8.2 volts forward, nothing reverse. So.... Looking at the esc instructions just above the power on led it says there is a settings button, well, for the life of me i see no setting button or dip where it says it should be, nor anywhere else on the unit. Does anybody have any idea what could have happened or knows anything about, or has used these esc's, or... Has anyone experienced anything similar using another make/type of controller??? http://www.cmldistribution.co.uk/product/ET0102/files/ET ProbeWP Instructions.pdf
  6. messaged you about this one
  7. How does one go about painting one of these shells? At the price a decent one is I wouldn't want to cock it up.
  8. The link for the tyres is back up through the thread.
  9. Ah that's a good thing to know John cheers. The little un's said he'd like a monster car. I like the idea, just to find a shell to fit. I see Nitro has done some mental builds using car bodies and the Tamiya chassis.
  10. They look really smart. What's the dying process?
  11. Like that... I'll show the boy see if he thinks its "Sick enough. What wheels and tyres are those its wearing?
  12. Thanks John I'll take a look. The boy want to change the look, something more modern, a bit different than the norm. Not much clue how I'm going to fulfil that wish yet lol.
