  1. no way gutted I missed it I will keep checking on here now theres other ppl wanting to meet and blast around with rc c u next time hopefully
  2. I live in Armley leeds two minutes from the city center and there isn't much like quarries and places like that.theres plenty of playing fields full of dog sh*# and young scallywags but I'm thinking more along the lines of a bmx track further out with a bit of nice scenery or a proper track for rc.i thought there might be someone on here from leeds also, that might know of such a haven and be willing to disclose of such info but it doesn't look likely. My plan was to chuck the car in a bag along with some snap of the picnic variety, round up the kids and the missus and jump on some public transportation to said location and make a day out of it. I'm determined to find a spot but I'll have to trawl Google maps some more, thanks for the replies ppl and that 1/5 looks awesome. ? cheers.
  3. I need places to take my 1/8 nitro buggy other than flat car parks, is there anybody out there that knows were I can take my new car and drive it like it's meant to be driven . Flat car parks are not cutting the mustard ppl I need dirt and jumps and other like minded ppl but try as I may Google search is not coming up with the goods. Someone please give us a location were I can go bashing with my car.thanks in advance to any replies.
  4. Thanks guys that looks like the kit I need to get going and change to 2.4ghz .cheers .
  5. Guys thanks for the replys all of you , exhaust gasket has a split in it so is the most likely.what temp should the gx 12 engine run at and is that the same for a .21 engine I'd assume not as the .21 is larger but again I'm new to all this so learning as I go. I've just baught myself an ansman virus 2 1,8 scale so I'm going to let my lad have the kyosho alpha once I fix the gasket and once again thanks for the replys guys.
  6. I don't drive so the closest model shop is in Crossgates which is a bit of a hike.there were two in the city centre once but not anymore.im hoping some ppl on here could disclose some good places to take my buggy I don't mind jumping on a train or bus or bike as long as it's awesome and I can have a good blast with it. I was hoping my kids would get involved but after the first hour the novelty wore off and they weren't fussed but I'm going to let my lad mess around with my 110 and he might just get the ? , I'm hoping.thanks for the welcome bud.
  7. hi guys, I've just baught an ansman virus 2.0 and it came with a gun type transmitter with a 40 mhz crystal in it. I prefer the stick type and have read that 2.4 ghz is a lot better for rc's so I want to upgrade to 2.4ghz and the stick type but don't know exactly how to go about it. I'm not loaded so cheep would be a good option but any help would be grateful , all so any recommendations of a good budget stick transmitter would be nice so thanks in advance for any replys.
  8. hello everyone ive just baught myself a 1/8 nitro buggy and im looking to take it out and about around leeds /west yorks and was hopeing to meet like minded ppl on here to converse with about this great hobby.i work full time and have a young family but in my spare time on weekends I want to get out bashing and wouldn't mind if anyone could give me a few spot on locations.ive looked to see if theres any rc clubs in leeds but so far haven't found any which is just like the model shops of yestur year non existant. anyway that's a small intro so for now toodle pip old sport and tatty bye good chum. thanks for reading ........
  9. Hi guys, I'm new to nitro rc and have baught a kyosho alpha 3. I thought it would be a good entry level car to learn on.now after running it for a week or two the engine has started to leek black oily stuff out of the pull start case, around the carb and all round the engine.is there any seals in that area that I could of cooked running to lean. Is it running to rich and it's all the unburnt fuel.after cleaning it and running one tank of fuel it's got this stuff dripping off the chassis tray. Something isn't right but having not run nitro before I don't know what exactly to expect after one tank of running in a car park ,I'm pretty sure it shouldn't be doing what it is.any suggestions.
