  3. Hi lee, again I'm having this issue on a second Baja (same make servos etc.) it came with a switchblade. This brownout link you say Capacitor? is this something we can do on a DIY method? not sure if you would give that advice as it's a product you sell but I'm tempted to ditch and go with a different sort if I can't do the switchblade fix ? Any help appreciated.

  12. Cheers mate, appreciated and yes... sometimes some information is the best information.
  13. Hi Hamza, I had a similar issue recently with my Futaba which ended up being a "mode option". I'm not 100% on the Spektrum and I'm sure somebody will post in regards but could this get affected by the failsafe function ? For example, if your failsafe isn't set on the AUX Channel (if it has FS for that channel) to be in the off/kill position when failesafe is set this would not cut the engine when the transmitter is turned off, this may not be the exact case but maybe worth checking until somebody else can respond with maybe more detailed info on your radio gear. Let me know.
  14. Agree with all what you said evssv, I have my thoughts on a few engine wise upgrades... in the long run I'm sure I will put another lump in but until then - Loving it!
  15. So... I purchased my 1st 1/5th KM Baja 002 from RcModelz. I'm a member of the FB Group WMRC Bashers (West Midlands RC Bashers) and before I purchased the KM I done a fair bit of asking questions, research of my own and a lot of reading and watching videos as we all do (and should) these days. Everybody and everything that I consumed had pretty much advised against the KM mainly due to the high profile and stature of other 1/5th scales such as the LOSI/HPI etc. but I didn't want to spend £1000 for a starter and then should buy optional upgrades. So, I thought the KM Baja would suffice for my needs as well as give me a pretty good bang for my buck. One of the guys (also local to me) Anthony Davis was very enthusiastic (but also a total knobhead in all honesty) about the KM and obviously he had owned a 001 I believe some time back and never really had too many issues to my knowledge, common wrist bearings and such had failed on the engine which also Wes Davis another great bloke from WMRC Bashers (Who also let me have a blast of his LOSI so fair play to him) was also quick to highlight to me and even to this day I have taken that on board and have intentions of replacing and/upgrading. I thought I would write this little posting with my experiences so far and to highlight RcModelz who have been fantastic with not only their product, there support and their general (how we go about things) method and the KM Baja 002 I purchased. Anybody else who is looking for one, please do read this post. So, it was delivery day... after a long wait... it arrived, I thought I'd go for the 002 instead of the 001 purely due to the upgrades on it and, I liked "Orange" :). And here it was in all it's glory. I also purchased the following Km Baja 002 Outerwears - 1.Air Filter, 2.Pullstart, 3.Crankcase MadMax Tarmac Busters Mad Max Big Diggers Switchblade Killswitch (which I swapped for a dynamite) Kick Plate Front Stainless Steel Upgrade Futaba 3PV Radio Gear Since those original purchases and the issues I had with the first killswitch I have bought. New Hump Pack New Steering Servo Rear Dominator Pipe Pull start Handle Bonehead Axle Protectors 19/55 Pinion & Spur Metal Gear Set Now this is where my thoughts come to life - WOW it's fantastic, so impressed with the Stock KM Baja 002 it’s unbelievable, runs like a dream, had a few mishaps (Don't we all) and I won't mention no names lol but I'm sure they will be reading this from the http://www.rcuk.club website... General speed of the thing I must admit it shocked me, from acceleration to top end, coming from a nitro background in recent years but also many years of RC's in general it was a breath of fresh air (and fumes). Throws dirt in the air like my old Motocross bikes from back in the day. website First Start Video First Start & Kill Switch Fitted - VIDEO Had a good few bashes and runs out on both tarmac & grass and met some nice folk from WMRC Bashers and I got to say this is so impressive for what it is and yes I know... there are many other variants and models/manufactures available and there is also arguments for and against but I wanted to make this post to give others information on the KM Baja from somebody who has purchased one and not what they just read or get put off by other people which is also understandable in many regards. First proper run after Break In Period - VIDEO Time for a slightly faster Tarmac Run (No Dom Fitted at this point) - VIDEO More Tarmac Bashing - VIDEO I have also attached a few pictures and videos in this thread and chuffed to bits with my purchase. On a final note as I can also write for England when I get going, Thank You RcModelz for your product and your support it is much appreciated and many thanks to Wes full of wisdom, knowledge, banter. I'll be updating this thread as time goes by with all the changes, thoughts and general 1/5th KM Baja Bashing information. Thanks, hope somebody finds this thread helpful if your thinking of a KM (King Motors) RC 1/5th
  16. Cheers - Picked one up V1 Genuine, should make the difference over my stock anyway... awaiting Mr Postman
  17. Hi All, I'm after a ream dom to fit my KM baja, complete with couplings if possible and also genuine (as there are a lot of fakes out there). Please get back to me if you have one for sale with price and postage (I'm in Wolvrehampton, West Midlands). Thanks
  18. ++Update, It was the servo bringing it down but I fitted a Dynamite with the same servo and worked perfect, so must be some form of tolerance level on voltage/amp pull with the switchblade.
  19. https://hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigytm-tgy-1270hv-ball-bearing-ds-mg-servo-w-heat-sink-40kg-0-18sec-170g.html this one I have ordered.
  20. If it arrives and works fine with the Switchblade it will prove the servo was faulty, fair enough it maybe a poor stock one but nevertheless if it's pulling down the voltage/load like I think it is, certainly faulty - Fingers crossed.
  21. No I have ordered a Turnigy, not the same as stock.
  22. It was a default servo on the KM, not sure what as not removed yet but sure there branded as model shop name.
  23. Hi All, Thought I would post this to see if anybody else has had this issue in the past and to see peoples thoughts and ideas. I have a "New" KM Baja with a Futaba 3PV and I fitted a "Switchblade" Kill Switch and two new batteries. The Problem When steering (just slight turn) CH1 the kill switch activates hence cutting the engine, I can use throttle which is fine. The Tests 1. When I remove the CH1 (Steering) servo from the receiver I can start and use the throttle all good and it will not cut out. 2. When I connect another servo (smaller) for testing I can move Ch1 (Steering) no problem and the Kill Switch doesn't activate. I tested 2 new batteries both fully charged this still did the same in both scenario 1 & 2 I then used a spare FlySky 3CH controller/receiver where it worked a little bit differrently, it would cut out at a very short distance away from me and again when steering. The Theory & Possible Issue I have spoken with Roger from Switchblade (great bloke) and from what he seen on the video I sent him, when I activate the Steering (Ch1) the switchlade led flashes to the pre_Arm state as if the voltage has dropped below its threshold making the killswitch enable, he asked me to test a fully charged battery as mentioned above and still did the same, many people from the FB Group WMRC Bashers (West Midlands) all seem to think along the same lines that the "Steering Servo" is at fault, which is even more emphasized by the fact of me changing the servo (not fitted) just for testing and I could steer fine. I also tried a different (cheap and nasty) Killswitch where this also cut out at random, obviously the receiver may work of different tolerances of voltage ? The Question Have any of you had this issue ? where your servo was at fault ? dropping the voltage low enough for the Killswitch to activate ? I have ordered a new servo and it should arrive tomorrow, I have also contacted the shop I got my KM Baja from who said they will test the servo and replace if it's at fault, I think I have covered all bases on testing and parts I've ordered so fingers cross as from tomorrow I should have a working KM Baja with Killswitch :). Please do give input as I welcome any words of wisdom, experience and general thoughts on this. Many Thanks Kind Regards Cecil Bergwin WMRC Bashers
