  1. Hi there, I'm quite new to it all aswell, but I got an MST MS01D brushless and it's great fun out of the box. Plenty of hop up parts for it also.
  2. I didn't realise there was so many different types of connections that's why it was a shock when my TP battery wouldn't connect with my TP charger! I just assumed with them being from the same manufacturer that they would work fine. I suppose it's not the end of the world, picked up the cable I need from eBay for around £3. Again just another part of the RC learning experience for me, Again I appreciate all the info you guys have provided.
  3. Well it was over £100 for a charger and battery. Thanks guys, but I guess you need to connect the battery to the charger not only through the balance lead, but with the red and black wires as well, I think that's where I was going wrong. Ah Sunny! Thank you I didn't see your post at first glance. Will buy one tommorow.
  4. OK, thanks for your help! Much appreciated.
  5. I think so, so it's a male deans that needs to be soldered on to the ends? Just a little annoyed, when you spend over £100, you expect it to Work out of the box. At least I did anyway.
  6. They don't fit, assuming something has to be soldered on to the end? I'm going to be pretty ****** if that's the case.
  7. Hello, looking for some help, I have bought a thunder power 610c charger and a thunder power 2s 3300 battery. So I have plugged the battery into the little balance board and set the battery to charge at 3amps on 2s mode but I'm getting a wrong polarity, check voltage warning. I have no idea what to do from here, there is a small red and black cable in the box with male ends on one side and seemingly nothing on the other. This is the first time I've attempted to charge any sort of RC battery and it seems quite overly complicated, the instructions are diabolical! Any help would be much appreciated.
  8. I'll be upgrading as I go along. Thanks for the tips! Currently have no money to spend on it, battery, charger etc has drained my bank balance!
  9. Indeed, I already bought the aluminium damper set
  10. Oh no! I've just ordered some oil and grease through soul! I was wondering what was happening with their websites, they don't seem to have anything in stock even what it clearly says it's in stock and they haven't responded to emails. I did spend some time looking at Sakura and I looked through someone's build thread (yours?) and they looked pretty cool, but it was the AWD vs RWD for beginners quandary. I read that AWD is better for learning how to drift so I've bought a MS01D. Hopefully if I get to grips with it, I'll end up buying an RWD kit at some point (permission from the wife needed) and I'll look at a different brand to MST.
  11. I saw them on eBay, Taiwan right? Dunno just assumed I'd be paying extra tax on top of that. Ah OK just seen they mark as a gift and at a low price. Thanks.
  12. OK so the RTR package is still not in stock and I was wondering how easy it is to just buy the chassis and electrics separate and build it yourself. I reckon it would be a good way to learn how it all works and would come in handy in the future in regards to maintenance. But on the downside it will be more expensive to buy things separately although there are some decent deals on Soul. Is it all plug and play or is mostly soldering required? I haven't soldered since school! Basically asking, should I just sack it off and stop being impatient and just wait for it to come back in stock? Or would it be better to "build" it myself? Thanks. EDIT: Also toying with the idea of getting the FXX as I see most people are going to RWD...
  13. Thanks for the answers guys, will order the S15 next week
  14. Hi guys, new here been looking to get into RC drifting for a long time and now very close to taking the plunge! Sorry to start a whole new thread for this, I know theres already a lot of threads on this car already. Looking at the MST ms01d brushless rtr package because I don't have any batteries or chargers etc. But I have read about Lipo batteries and there is one question that I've had for weeks now. Does this car come with the Low voltage cutoff I've read about?
