    Best cleaner to remove anodising ?

      I've used mr muscle oven cleaner and it works really well

      Dont leave it in too long otherwise can eat into surface, check every 5 mins. Bit of scrubbing sometimes necessary and repeat, then polish and buff.

      Caustic soda works as well apparantly but dont leave the item in long as it the metal as well from what i have read and can leave pitting on the surface.

      It is also very nasty stuff and the fumes are dangerous as well.

      Make sure you do it outside and wear protection,I splashed a little drop on my arm once by accident when using it to unblock a sink and it is very painful,even a little drop burns.

    Just purchased a nicely hopped up used 5ive, an OBR G320 billet case full mod, a dx4s and a few bits including a killer rc lipo. Let them strip and build commence.

    unbelievable money for a losi 5ive. £2200!!! And i thought the stock one that was on for £1500 was steep. What is wrong with these people?!

      ^ that has some very nice bits on it though... Assuming the alloy bits are Modified RC and it's not ****e.

      Given the price of the engine and pipe alone and the amount eBay and PayPal will skim off as well.

      That's a damn sight closer to reality than the 5ive.

      It's still overpriced, but not by very much considering what it's got.

    Well i came back online after a few months off, had my heart set on getting back into the hobby with abit of scaling/light crawling. After a few days of browsing im looking at 5ives again. Dam you losi for building such a good RC !

      Sounds good. Was it a fluke bet or calculated from watching the season ect. 

       

      I'm tempted to go to the bookies for my first time and bet on dogs and horses. But since I've never followed either probably shouldn't lol. 

       

      My polish mate lived in the bookies on the video roulette he was a genius at it too. Tripling his money every time I went with him. But he said he has losing days too.

      slippery slope in the bookies, a pal of mine used to travel up and down motorways and use the one arm bandits in the services.

      Scary thing is that he believed that over a year he was up !

      Every time we went to snooker and had a few quid each in one we ALWAYS lost. Never did manage to get an explanation out of him.

       

      I think the best answer i got was it was my fault i'm jinxed !

       

      Can be good fun if you dont get carried away, a few quid here and there, but can get scary when you start chasing bets, trying to win back your rent money you lost on that cert at 25-1 :D

    Finally decided on and ordered the new car, Mercedes CLA180 amg line in red. The 12 weeks wait is going to be abit of a killer though.....

      Scirocco is a nice car but I like the slightly older one. New audis look good these days so chunky. 

       

      I saw one the other day and thought damn what's that s5 ??? No just an a4 lol.

    New body and the tekno bits have arrived for my 8ight-t project. Very impressive postage from tekno, only ordered on Tuesday and it only cost £9. Shame im working away all week :(

    Just got myself a bargain Futaba 4PKS-R with two receivers so I can run my xmaxx and 8ight-t with it..... :)

      I'll have a look. Yeah the 4pks on here's not a bad price at 180. I just wanted the dropper wheel and something abit newer.
