Thanks for the reassurance. So if an updated version came out OR possible recall to update the ESC to a newer version ( if it was found to be defective ) What would the process be? Would we be notified by modelsport or traxxas usa? If traxxas usa, have we got to register it?

Nice one guns. Respect. Money is hard to come by. Especially when your trying to get on that house ladder. If you don't get it now, you will probably never get it. You have the money and opportunity to. I also cannot wait.

Just out of interest. How many people on this forum have pre ordered or have just placed one that are going to cancel and who are still going through with there order.

I'm in it for the long haul. If you keep it standard and don't do stupid modifications to electronics or outrageous big Lipo's so you have big run times so everything goes on melt down, then I do not see any potential problems. & If iam unlucky to have a failure we have the warranty to fall back on. You guys who are thinking of cancelling I would think long and hard. We all got it at a good price. But at end of the day we are all different . Just a shame a few bad posts are putting people off.

So what's everyone say here? You all going to cancel? Well I for one are going to stand by my decision. Life is to short in my experience. If you want it, buy it. (Oh and I am not made of money fyi ) Yes it's expensive, yes it may go wrong. But if you leave them alone, and not doing 60+mph, l mean where in the manual does it stay or the option to do that especially from new. As the phrase goes. "Traxxas will look after you" Providing you do not gear up to stupid mph. We only here bad stuff after all.

Ok thanks STW1974. Do they use the same plug as traxxas and fit stright into the spare plug/ port in the esc? Or is there some modifications to be done? Been looking at some fans as mentioned, these are for computers are these the right fans?

Second esc fan modification. Can anyone point me into the right direction and a possible link to where and what sort of fan I need for this x maxx? Am going to get one before I get this truck. First thing am going to do just to keep temperatures down. I can handle a few breakages if am unlikely. But not a fire. Not messing around with bigger batteries or motors. Just going to keep it standard. 30 mph is fast enough for me . But do want this fan to be on safe side.

Arrr. Got it. Was thinking it was due to all the negative posts on here and breakages which we are hearing about from America . Oh I see. Thought is was one of these extra white goods/tv electrical warranties you can get, which in some cases are no good.

So this warranty for modelsport. Does any one know how much it is and what does it cover? I take it this is an extra warranty on top of the manufacturers/ modelsport warranty from what you would get from new.

After watching this video i am getting my confidence back in the x maxx. (may be I should stop reading all the negative posts) After all that's the only sort of work/bashing am only going to give it. Will not be jumping that high and am only using the 5000 mah batterys. 25 minutes is good enough for me and it will keep the temperature down also.

How many people are having second thoughts about this traxxas x maxx? I am no rc expect, I just love this truck an had to buy it. Am on the first pre order list. but I must admit it's an expensive toy to go wrong or on fire in its first outting. I will not be abusing it or at any concrete skate parts. But I my self is starting to think twice. I still love it. And want it. My be i just need some reassurance. Comments welcome.

So if I wanted an uprated diff. What's the best sort of diff to get for my x maxx? Been looking on UE website but not got a glue what to look for. Is there one available? Who from and any links please.

Back to these apparent leaking shockers. I noticed on a few unboxing clips on u tube that the front is cable tied down from factory. Could this be a factor in them leaking from new until they bed in??? But it's only the front what is tied down i think . Putting 2 and 2 together here and probably coming up with ten no doubt. Just a thought.

There is lots of talk and people modifying there traxxas x maxx already to make it go faster either with gearing or bigger lipo 's and motors. These breakages which are been reported on u tube or on other forums. Are these breakages down to these modifications? If so can this invalidate your warranty? as traxxas have developed this to be a strong and robust in its standard form. (Ie not messed around with) Do we think there would be no reports of damage broken x maxx 's if people would leave it alone. Just a thought. Putting it out there.

This hot topic on diffs, is it a big potential problem or is it just been made worse than it seems by a few people on here who have a beef about traxxas diffs. Am only wondering as is there anything we or I can do to prolong the life of it? If the part is available and cheap and easy to fix, then I really don't see a problem. Yes the truck is expensive and should not break within a week of having it. But if it does I would seriously think about how I am driving it or misusing it.

I intend to tug. Oh and am not using this self righting button. Makes me cringe the damage it will do to the body and possible other parts, just because of the sheer lazyness of walking a few foot or meters. Imo.

Hi all. Am a newbie here, have been reading this thread for some time now and thought it was time to join in. I am one of the lucky ones that pre order that last blue one from modelsport at the low price and I can tell you I cannot wait. A little back ground on me. I am new to this rc car thing and don't have a glue. I have two traxxas grave digger and one of them is the 30th anniversary one and they just sit on my shelf. I have a tamiya lunchbox which I use for bashing I thing we call it. But I knew a bargain when I saw it so just had to buy this traxxas x maxx. Just have a question. These videos I have been watch on u tube from this guy who has broke it all ready, over these massive jumps on concrete and a few others on there ( who may have not wrecked these yet) Is that how you treat a now £750 bit of equipment? Can these trucks take this sort of abuse? Am asking as I do not know. Mine is know where near going to get that sort of action.
