  1. Yes, amazing little engine!!!! Know a guy that's been running one for a while now and not a single issue with it...... Plating is still perfect. I think there's a thread over on the Baja Forums too about these where a guy has rinsed the hell out of his SCZ and he has nothing but praise for it!!
  2. Sorry guys! Just seen the messages... no notifications for the PM's??? On another note I'm after a ready to run 1/16th nitro so I would swap any of the above for one. PM's replied.
  3. That's an air leak.... change the gaskets or use some gasket sealer... that's after you've tried tightening the bolts that hold the insulator block and carb on.
  4. Or just buy a new G320 and bang a ESP head kit on it..... Same performance as the Pro MX but at less of a cost.
  5. Gary that works there is another know it all but doesn't know anything when push comes to shove
  6. Suprised to see there's no talk of the half lean tank issue.... which can be a right pitta and was one of the reasons I ditched my Savage X 4.6 after 2 months of owning it.
  7. I can get upgrades from the states as they seem to have all the upgrades you'll ever need. And not having a million upgrade parts is a good thing, less parts to tempt your wallet!!
  8. Does anyone have one of these? How fast are they in stock and with an uprated engine? Have you rolled and jumped it? How did it hold up? Keeping looking at these and can't stop, I just love the way they look and with Xmas being around the corner I might get one as I've been a good boy
  9. No one has said to swap out the engine bearings...
  10. Because they always break.... these little engines are known to have poor one way bearings.
  11. Make sure you order 3-4 spare one way bearings...
  12. Selling off some old stuff, I'e do the description now and post the pictures later. Hot Bodies Lightning 1/8th buggy - Found in the shed, some rust but everything moves freely, receiver box lid and shell is missing, no roto start so can't attempt to start it, turning the engine over by hand reveals great compression, servo's tested and they work, no receiver but has a transmitter. Would make a good fixer-up-a as doesn't need that many parts... could make a cheap fix or a base for a cheap brushless conversion? - £60 shipped CEN MG10 - Also found in the shed, very clean considering where it's been kept, missing receiver box lid and front drive shafts and front bumper and a shell, wheel hub bushings need replacing, engine runs as I've started it but needs a tune, servo's tested and they work, receiver and transmitter included. Would also be a cheap fix as I've found all the parts for £25 shipped ( Minus a shell ) - £50 shipped King Motor 30.5 engine - This is my original engine from my X2, after around 6 tanks the piston pin bearing decided to blow and it took out the piston and head, the crank case and stuffed crank are fine, I was planning on bolting an ESP head kit to it but ended up getting a G320 instead. This will be sold as a long block. - £40 shipped 2 Bolt 30cc HY Engine - This was used as spare engine, originally from a Maverick Blackout MT, it had a new ring fitted and has done 4-5 tank on that ring before it was replaced with a G320. Needs a clutch, choke lever, spark plug. Good reliable work horse engine. - £60 shipped Stock King Motor X2 Air filer & Gas Cap - Removed them as they're orange and don't match the rest of the truck. - £15 for both shipped Clone side pipe - This was cut and then welded although the weld joint was bodged and leaks so could do with a spot of weld adding here and there. - £10 shipped Stock X2 clutch housing - Yours for the price of postage Stock King Motor Baja Bead Locks - Yours for the price of postage Now being completely honest and with xmas coming up I really want these gone so prices are not fixed so please offer if you have a price in mind Money sent via paypal All items will be sent tracked and buyer will be emailed a picture of the receipt.
  13. Mate there's 4 genuine Losi 5ive owners who bash with me and Andy ( Andy also owns an X2 ) and I could put any one of the 4 owner of a genuine Losi 5ive in contact and they'll all agree that the X2 is every bit as good as the Losi in terms of ability and strength...... And that it makes the 5ive look way overpriced! People are just brand snobs and can't see past the name on the box...... The only thing Losi has over King Motor is that they offer the 5ive as a roller, King Motor don't make offer that option..... but if they did it would put some hurt on Losi. And the shock towers bend from rough landings... it's not something they do right away... you need to put it through consecutive rough landings to get them to bend.... but as I said it all depends on driving style.
  14. Yes the stock towers do bend but I suppose it depends on how you drive it? Mines driven and treated like a 1/10 scale, it's just jumped and it loves it. The stock towers do bend as although they look beefy they're quite 'soft' Bearings are good, just pack them full of grease and they'll last for a long time. The idle issue seems to be a problem with the X2 in general, every one that I've spoken too seems to of had to screw the idle all the way to get it to tick over, never had such a problem on any of the KM Baja's that I owned, purely seems to be related to the X2. They need around another £100 spending on them to sort out all the little niggly bits..... CY clutch, Billet shock towers ( Again depends on driving style ), air filer ( Stock one aint the best ) ...... that's all they need, they are so well built and cost so little that even paying to sort the little things out they're still an absolute bargain. Just don't be scared to throw it around, it will take it!!
  15. That looks quite nice actually..... Problem is price...... Not much savings then just buying the other buggy kit form Freeprawnracing
  16. Any chance of a picture of inside the head? I've seen the porting on pretty much every engine builder except these so curious as to how it compares to others.
  17. Hi Andy I have my first tarmac bash this Sunday and I'm taking my X2, I'm not changing the tires so I'll be running the stock tires. Any set-up tips for the strings and stuff?
  18. Only thing that rally needs replacing on the X2 is the shock towers ( RCmodelz have both front and rear for £30! ) and the clutch as the heavy X2 soon takes it's toll on the stock item. I would get a genuine CY clutch as they're much higher quality. The diff oils are stock to what Losi use in the 5ive but King Motor don't put any grease on the ring gear and pinion inside the gear box so I would recommend you take them apart and put some grease on them, also drop some in the boots on the CVD's. The wheel hub bearings will seize this time of year ( 3 out of the 4 rear hub bearings seized on me a few weeks back ) luckily the sides can be removed so put some grease in there to provide them extra protection from wet ground. Also how's you engine idle? Last two X2's that I've had have required that the idle screw be screwed all the way in just to get the thing to idle, so I used gasket sealer on all the gasket joints on the intake side and now the idle screw is where you would expect it and she idles like a champ. And if you fancy more power the ESP 30.5 championship ported head kit ( Can be had for £120 ) bolts right up to the KM crank case and really transforms the truck.
