  1. My daughter servo broke last week (ripmax). I saw it happen, she must have hit some lumpy air or something as it just died when going slowly. Replacement was only a few quid though
  2. Awesome, thanks Monkee. I ordered one a few days ago as i heard it would work. Didn't have any in the uk warehouse so will have to wait up to 6 weeks apperently.
  3. Its CR151. It says it comes with a mini receiver but i have this in my 1/10 buggy and it is not that mini. Was hoping for a smaller receiver if possible, but I do not know what will be compatible??? Thanks for help
  4. Hi guys, I've just bought a 2nd hand GTB (new to micro's) and all that's missing is the receiver. However, I have a core transmitter and the core receivers seem pretty big, i'm not sure they would fit. So... What small receiver would work? Thanks Adrian
  5. Hi guys, Would appreciate a little help here... I'm stumped. Am trying to connect Hobbywing multi-function program card to my pc using the Hobbywing usb link software but it doesn't connect. I think it should say connecting to pc when running the usb link software and plugging in in via usb cable, however it just says "Hobbywing PB-3.2.19" on the box. I am able to connect the box the my xerun 120a v2.1 esc and update the settings of the esc, but as it has very old firmware there aren't many settings. can't flash the firmware until the box connects to the PC. What am i doing wrong? Have downloaded the software, extracted with winrar, run in admin mode (windows 7 64 bit). Have re-installed, restarted etc... I know the box works as it is borrowed and recently used, but the usb cable is mine. Gives power so don't think this is a problem. Hobbywing software is not in demo mode. It has all fields blank and no options in the dropdown for available firmware options. Database version is blank. The green light at the bottom of the screen does not light up to say the box is connected. Any ideas?
  6. Si, thank you so much mate. Will get that steering servo and maybe hobbywing 120a xerun v2.1 I think. Its not muh more that a 60a. Not sure on motor yet... but one of the 2 linked. Thanks again
  7. I always used to race schumacher but wanted to try something different apperently easier to set up too so that's a bonus. Shame there wasn't another british choice that I was aware of. Just wondered really if a 35 quid motor could be any good. Also wanted generic advice on which esc and steering servo.
  8. Yep. Seen enough posts on here to avoid a hobbyking esc unless I want a mobile bbq
  9. Hi, Thanks to everyone's help previously, I now have a Losi 22 2.0, but now I could do with a little advice to get set up ready for club racing (Tiverton and Torquay). I know very little about steering servo's, despite trying to read up on them. ESC, I assume in need a 120A esc, other than that they all look the same to me. Motor, I am thinking sensored, maybe 8.5T, but confused how they can range from £25 up to over £100... what's the difference? Quality, speed, torque, reliability, efficiency etc??? are 4 poles needed or are 2 fine? Don't really want to spend more than I have too, but at the same time don't want the car to be too slow Motors http://www.modelsport.co.uk/speed-passion-v3.0-competition-bl-8.5t/rc-car-products/367302 - £35 - Is it junk? http://www.modelsport.co.uk/dynamite-platinum-series-8.5-turn-sensored-race-motor/rc-car-products/370491 - £52 - Any better? if so in what way? ESC Hobbywing? - Cheap but heard some good things Steering??? no clue Cheers guys, any help appreciated.
  10. Daveyb... don't distract me man! Basher... very very true, and i always wanted a Losi years ago when I used to race my schumacher cat.
  11. Have decided on a Losi 22 2.0 thanks to everyones help. Just waiting for the next local meeting to see what people are racing before buying. As Si said its 190 quid. Interesting point about 2nd hand now that the next model is out but wanted to build it myself really.
  12. Great help. Thanks I think its out of a b5m or losi 22 2.0 Will ask around at the next race and see what people have. Most important now is being able to get trackside parts. Nothing worse than going home early due to a broken 5 quid part. Cheers
  13. Gonna have to dodge out of work early tonight to check these out. Losi looks good, as does team c but not heard of them before. Basher the kf is nice but more than I'll spend on this car
  14. Thanks mate, that really helps. Are there any other cars between these price points worth considering? Out of the 2 it might be worth paying the extra for an easier set up. Still undecided.
  15. Torqay or wellington, so indoor or outdoor carpet. What extra does the b5m give?
