Thanks for talking the time to reply TMFU, the shop does not have anywhere to run the car at speed. He could stay it out the back but starting isn't the problem. I've would the high speed needle as far as i dare and bizarrely the further in it goes the smokier the exhaust gas. It seems to differ from tank to tank. One moment it runs fine, ill tell the tank and immediately is slow and cuts out! HPI were good to start with. The car had a few parts missing (all sent out first class and i fitted them) but now they just say take it back to the shop for tuning but i can't!

I'm having big problems with my Bullet 3.0. HPI don't really care and just told me to take it back to the shop. The shop say they haven't got any facilities to set up the car or test it. So is there anyone experienced out there who is willing to help set up my Bullet and offer advice. The car just wont stay tuned! It sometimes goes like stink and sometimes chugs along then dies!! I'm near the airport and have a park with jumps, hills, sand and bark or I can travel too!

It had a problem with a drive shaft. Its all sorted now and back in 4WD. Still sluggish as hell though!

Thanks for the reply. The screws were missing from brand new. They are never there and the truck is RTR. I haven't even touched the servos so not taken any screws out. As for breaking it in i may have got confused. I ran it in in accordance with the manual and YouTube channel for HPI. Ill get the 20% fuel and see what happens when i reset it and start the tuning again! !

Hi guys, just got an HPI Bullet for my son and we live in Newcastle. Know of a few places to use the car, hope to see a few of yous there some days!

Hi guys, great forum. Im Neil from Newcastle upon Tyne. Just thought I'd glean some knowledge about my sons Bullet. I ran it in with 2 tanks of fuel then tuned it. All was good. Put it away after using a few drops of after run oil. Then went to run it on his birthday and it is slow and sluggish. Tried tuning it again and just cant get it to rev. Its top speed is about 15mph. Watching videos on youtube of the Bullet mine is no where near as quick. Im using the 16% nitro as recommended by the shop. 2-3 drops of air filter oil. Ive returned the carb to stock settings and its now not as quick as it was when it was new out the box. I just cant think what it could be. The car has been bother since I bought it. Drive shafts missing dogs, screws missing from the servos, pins missing from the body etc etc, but it was new and sealed when I bought it!! HPI have been great and sent out all the parts but the engine is driving me mad!
