  1. Hey, Just recently got back into it again over the last couple of months and brought an MST MS-O1D rtr and I'm still learning the technical things, I've managed to learn about camber, toe etc and brought a camber gauge ride height etc and I'm currently waiting for it to come through, but there's still a few things I'd like to know and are confusing me. CS ratio: What is it, how does it affect the car and how do i work out mine? Gearing: What affect would having a higher tooth spur gear on the car and would I have to up the pinion gear size to match it? belt size and differences it makes to the car? Suspension: How should it be set shock oil weight?, ride height? there just seems to be some many options out there lol and it's like a mine field to a beginner getting into it. Motor position: What affect on the car would it have to have the motor in the front, middle or rear. I saw a front motor conversion kit on MST for the MS-01D just wondering what difference it would make to the car. How do you get insane lock? I've seen a couple of videos on youtube with people pulling off crazy angles and they have insane amounts of steering lock on their car I was just wondering how it's done? If you could help me out that would be great :), I'll put my car up on here soon it really is a mine field when you're a beginner and can get confusing quick aha. Cheers,Jack
  2. Hey, After having a bit of practice with it it seems to kick out and snake a bit even when going straight with a fair bit of throttle, Currently I'm only using an app called i handy for camber I'm not too sure how accurate it is and the toe was just eye balling same with ride height at the minute, I think i need to invest in some tools don't really want to go all out and buy a setup station yet so what would you reccommend? Also what settings would you generally recommend? and what impact does toe, in, out and camber positive or negative have on the car. I would just like to get an understanding of it all as I am quite new to to the hobby and it's like a mine field at the minute aha. Cheers,Jack
  3. Hey, I've taken apart the car to install some new wide angle cvd's but can't for the life of me figure out how to remove the silver brake section to get the old cvd's out, there's no screw or anything so does any one know how to do it lol it may seem a daft question but just need some help. Below I've attached two images to show you what I mean. Cheers, Jack http://imgur.com/32q4fn2,kD3aQBn http://imgur.com/32q4fn2,kD3aQBn#1
  4. Hi, I've just brought an team losi micro rally and I'm currently using the stock charger you get with it, it takes way too long and I've only got one Nihm battery for it at the minute so i need another charger. I'm using a radient ascend as my current rc charger for my other car but I can't charge micro batteries off of this unless there's a way I'm not sure, so what would you recommend? cheers
  5. Hey, I'm looking for hop ups for the Losi micro rally car but they seem to be like gold dust, most of the sites aren't up anymore such as thetoyz etc. Anyone know any other sites?
  6. I don't think there's a connector on the ascend one just balance plugs
  7. Hey, I've just brought a Losi micro rally and I can only use the charger with it at the minute and it takes an hour to charge. I have an ascend rc charger which I use for my main nihm and lipo batteries but you can't charge the smaller batteries on it. what would you recommend? Cheers
  8. Hey, I brought an MST MS 01D rtr about 3 weeks ago now and when i got paid last week I brought some metal turnbuckles, aluminium belt stabilizer, ball connectors and wide angle cvd's I've installed the belt stabilizer and the turn buckles but I just have no idea where this wide angle cvd's go at all, the instructions just to tell you how to assemble it, I really think I've bitten off more than i can chew as being new to rc I have no idea lol, i guess it's a learning process same as anything but I couldn't really find any guides/ tutorials on upgrades. The link to the cvd: http://www.maxspeedtechnology.co.uk/pair-of-steel-60-degree-cvd-universal-drive-shafts.html Cheers,Jack
  9. Hey, I'm getting paid at the end of this week and I want to upgrade to my mst 01d rtr but I don't know what to upgrade on it what should i get?
  10. Hey, I'm looking at a micro or mini drift setup that I can use indoors and I don't know what to get I heard about the kyosho mini z's but I'm not really looking to spend
  11. Hey, I've been out with it about 4 times now I'm using a spektrum sr201 reciever and a spektrum dx2e radio and all that works fine but when I adjust the steering trim it goes a little bit to the right and a little bit to the left and will never fully center when I drive it in a straight line it'll either pull to the left or the right depending on where the trim is set I just can't seem to fix it, any ideas? Sorry if it's a noob question only really started rc Cheers,Jack
  12. Hey, I've recently got back in to rc after a bout 6 years and I'm learning everything again I brought my self an mst 01d rtr and had a few problems setting it up all up but I'm over that now, sorted the body out etc and on the 3rd outing half way through the car stopped and and was just whining took the body off and the belt had come off put it all back on on closer inspection the spur gear has lost a fair few teeth on there. Looking back now I should have checked to see everything was tight etc when i unboxed before running. It looks like the belt has come loose aswell so I don't know if that needs to be replaced aswell. Should I stick with a plastic spur gear or get a metal one? I've attached some images below showing the spur gear: http://imgur.com/ziQjEQ3,5XwimGx http://imgur.com/ziQjEQ3,5XwimGx#1 Cheers
  13. Sorted now, come back with a clear head today and fixed it.
