Not sure on the brand, but I was told there more primarily used for racing and seeing as I want to throw it about I was thinking of changing it.

CF with snap and metal will bend so for bashing id get metal. Or just bash it until it breaks.

Then change, Alex you're wrong, the best chassis would be actually polymer, such as the Kraken chassis... Metal bends, poly bounces back, they're extremely strong chassis' to have if you plan on bashing, check out some of Krakens strength test videos.
