Hi all ive just been given a nitro car. I’ve given it a good clean out ready for some fresh fuel. The transmitter that came with it isn’t working through. Can I buy any two channel transmitter and receiver to use in it?

Found numerous parts suppliers so going to pay today for the car. The part I like the most is the stripping down, repairing and rebuilding but that's the engineer in me. After that I'll find a new project while the kids no doubt destroy this one. Thanks for all the advice guys. I'll keep you posted

I was going to buy but he wasn't avaliable this morning. Still trying to sourse parts at the min. I did notice the front arms on the right were damaged so if I can sourse them then I'll probably buy but if not them I'll walk

We've settled on 60. Not definate yet. Still looking for a parts supplier on the net but of to a local shop tomorrow to see if they can get parts before I confirm Any deal

Just been to see the car, it's a hyper 10, got it written on the onside, guy is selling it for his son. The shell is pretty shot but it runs and all the servos work as they should. Told him I'd have the money in the morning, only for me to come and ask what people think on here. I took some pics which I will post soon

You never know, might be something decent when I get there, although I don't know nitro cars, I like to think I'd know a con or not. The shell might look naff but what's underneath might be half decent

I know that pic is no good but I'm still going to look anyway. I'm not bothered about quality, just something to tinker with while the wife watching the soaps. As soon as I figure what it is and in sure I can get parts then I'll decide wether or not to buy it.

Like I say it's just to mess about with. Never had a nitro and thought it would be good to learn about them with, just a start really, don't want to blow the bank with something I'm probably going to destroy anyway.
