  1. cheers zombie but I was hoping to pay no more than about
  2. I think a hobby king 10th combo is what I need. I see a higher Kv will give a higher top speed. does a lover kv give better torque or better acceleration or is the advantage of a lower kv just longer run time?
  3. http://www.hobbyking.co.uk/hobbyking/store/__15194__S3650_3300_Brushless_Inrunner_3300kv_15_5T_.html Hobby king seem to have a lot of sensored motors but I think I would prefer a non sensored set up just for simplicity what about this combo? http://www.hobbyking.co.uk/hobbyking/store/__25137__Turnigy_TrackStar_Waterproof_1_10_Brushless_Power_System_3000KV_80A.html
  4. many thanks Tug is there any advantage in getting a lower Kv motor
  5. another question I need a servo what should I buy I thought I had one already in the shed but no. I must have already used it
  6. I bought a slash 4x4 roller for my son I put a brushed system in it and it lasted about 10 minutes and bunt out. I want a low cost (if possible) brushless motor. I am running 2S lipo's As it is for my son I don't need to max out the top speed but want something reliable. The brushed system had a training mode that was very useful for my son and aloud me to turn it up when I wanted a go. what are my best options?
  7. well my kit arrived and I have started building all seems good so far Zombi what oil weight do you use in the shocks and also you advised me to upgrade the wheel hubs. The kit has plastic hex hubs will these be better than the RTR hubs I found in the first plastics bag a set of cow horns I will have to mount them somewhere
  8. I am at work so have not seen the letter yet. Howerver with post the total cost was about on par with modelsportuk but the extra charges are going to push it well above that. I should have just waited oh well
  9. I changed my order to rcmart. Got a nice letter today asking for money for tax and admin charges
  10. I hope you keep us posted on how you get on. Please post photos of your results good or bad (results as good as in the video to take some practice). However it turns out it will be an interesting project. I think getting it to look something like the rat mini in the photo above may be a little easier.
  11. http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/gallery/image/32210-/ do you mean using the mini shell?

  14. I have a cracked body and I am happy with using glass fibre tape and shoe goo to repair the cracks however there are a few small gaps where the plastic has snapped off and has been lost. what is the best way to fill the holes?
  15. looks like someone at the T Bone office was told to come up with something new
  16. http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/gallery/image/32076-/ http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/gallery/image/32075-/ this is what I have so far and I am happy with it for this model. with the LED's mounted in the body with plastic mounts the headlights point in odd directions. the headlights are separate from the rest as the headlights on the hobbyking set did not seem bright enough
  17. http://www.hobbyking.co.uk/hobbyking/store/__68818__Turnigy_Super_Bright_2_x_White_Add_On_LED_Light_Set.html I also bought these but they get hot and I could not find a good way to mount them but they where very bright

  19. I got some lights for my sons car and buying LED's seems just hit and miss I got a light set with a control module and this gives seemingly random flashing patterns which is quite good but the headlights were not that bright. bought 2 head light sets one described as bright and one as super white. The super white were pretty good and still waiting for the arrival of the other set Is there any of gauging the brightness of LED's the description on most ebay ads seem pretty vague I would like more scale flashing patterns ie side lights on, 4 way indicators, fog lights, reverse light ect do I just have to buy a few and hope for the best or is there a better way of doing things
  20. can we see what you have done with it?
  21. should I have break action ? it seems just to coast when the trigger is pushed forward if it should break how do I go about fixing it
  22. I thought I would start a thread for general dissection of this model. Zombi's build thread is fantastic and I will continue to follow it but it would be nice to hear some ideas that might take the model in other directions or how to get the most out of more stock setup's I have a kit version on pre order so I am accumulating a few items in anticipation. so far I bought a FlySky gt3c Tx, GPM metal motor mount and GPM rear lock outs, a Axial Vanguard motor and esc of the type used in the RTR (I bought Zombi's original power train after he upgraded) The only essential I am missing is paint. This is my first rc car so a simple colour scheme for me maybe a fluorescent orange. Is there anything else I should consider upgrading on the initial build. I was thinking about a set of sealed bearings or maybe the stock set are sufficient?
