  1. Hi peeps. It's the stock Velenion system. It's not run hot before. The variables different today were large stone chips were the running service and had 1/8 buggy tyres fitted using the 17mm hex converters. The pinion is 14 tooth. When I stopped the car you could not touch motor. ESC fine. Any idea? Thanks

  2. I havnt taken my buggy apart completely yet. However, I did take out the centre diff as it was leaking. It now appears fine once I tightened things up. However, left me with a few questions.

    1. What wt diff oil for centre

    2. Do the front and rear boxes seal and if so what oil goes in?

    3. Is there an easier way of removing centre diff other than removing the screws from the chassis?

    Thanks

  3. Last one. Aside from being able to use 2s in my slash, are there other benefits to 2x2s as opposed to 1 4s? I can't put the 2x2s other than right next to or on top of each other so weight distribution isn't really a consideration.

  4. Yeah I got good mesh but the pinion came loose despite loctite. I therefore took it off and reset it. This time it was obvious I had done it too tight, as when I set it on the ground you could push it but it would stop suddenly unless you really pushed it hard. Reset it again and all was good. However, in the midst of all this there were two losses of power and the esc was flashing red (LVC) I thought, but both batteries still had over 4v. Default cut out on the esc is 3.2v I think so don't know what was happening. Could it be the batteries? It was 2x2s 25c. On the positive side I did get it running and its got a lot of power. Hurts considerably more than the slash when it knocks into you leg. Daft thing of the day was fitting a servo saver when it already had one further down the steering assembly. Can you have too many? Slop wasnt particularly pronounced.
