  1. i didnt do the trimming of the 2 front and rear side panels until i got my wraps. It would have been really tricky to align the wrapped panels because my custom design wrap doesnt allow coarse positioning. I ended up cutting stencils and then sandpapered the contours. I will show this soon in a seperate thread, delayed just because I have the flu atm.

  3. did you find all nuts and bolts to be correct according to the instructions ?
  4. this was the simple part ..but I bet you had a big smile on your face when watching it first time. btw there is a swedish guy who did a quick release version, but it I guess its not necessary. go on now and hurt yourself a bit !
  5. i'm jealous because this only needed 8 days door2door and my ddm parcel today left customs after being 11 days already in Vienna. My order is from Feb., 24th! All that misery because you won that steering upgrade from ebay so i went the ddm way... Regarding the cage:I hope you have some proper lexan scissors at hand... Cheers Thomas
  6. my fingers still hurt when i remember cutting the panels ...did you order the ddm wraps on sale or the ktm/red bull?
  7. aren't you satisfied with the standard servo mount ? Or is it the bling factor? btw whats your experience with these gens ace 6750mah? I'm thinking of buying two gens ace 50c 5000mah 3s and two 5000mah 4s so that I'd have either 6,7 or 8s.
  8. i have the KRAKEN spare tire rack bracket installed ! This pic shows the old KM brace. In the meantime I changed a lot of parts, though....One day I decided to get rid of all orange parts and I also bought 1 MXT spare tire to suit the others. At the moment I'm still waiting für the IRC hinge pins, and the steering upgrade (1 week in customs, ordered from DDM) to get it redone.
  9. i actually didnt have the tr brace before but i read about it. I had a very nice KM mount which had about 1/2" wider shock mount options and it was impossible to use these but it was ok on the inners. Due losing this i switched to the lighter and beatiful bonehead mount
  10. in my kit there were some bolts and nuts missing and the instruction sheet is wrong at some Points - you'll find out .... also you might have clearance problems with your rear turtle shock brace, i use bonehead`s now..
  11. cutting the panels is a real PITA btw...

Hi, For Sale is a used genuine Kraken TSK Cage with dyed blue panels, a magnetic switch in the roof and a 2-LED Kraken scale bumper (not in pic !) Also comes with some Kraken decals and windownet. Asking £175 but shipping is about £15 because I'm in Austria. I would also trade this for Kraken X2E or FLM Poly Extended A-Arms Cheers Thomas
  14. Hi, this is my first post because I couldn't stand it anymore. AJ you must be something like my unknown twin.. In the last months i very slowly built up my KRAKEN BAJA.FLUX still not driven yet. I uinstalled Bonehead hinge pin braces and the rear shock Tower, also the rear chassis plate arrived few days ago. IRC hingepins are to be installed with it in the next days. Also you won the steering upgade off ebay which i was bidding on, too. Now I see you want to build a battery kraken. I've done that last fall but when I was almost ready for the maiden voyage and it was still winter I decided to change a lot of parts which is still in progress. (e.g. Killer Kables, custom battery lid....) Atm I have only some bad detail pics because this project is top secret to my RC Buddys. I mounted the cage the way it was intended fot gassers but the batterys can be sled in easily. I spent hours how to do a mod to fit my x-long Plazma 50C batterys from my Savage Flux safely into the stock chassis. More and better pictures to come in a seperate thread but if you don't mind i may put some of them here ..... Cheers Thomas
  15. Hi, my name is Thomas, I live in Austria and I'm 44 years old. I had a Tamiya Grasshopper back in the 80s and I turned back to RC cars 4 years ago when my son got a Traxxas MERV as a Christmas present from me. I quickly found out that it was more a present to me than to him and I started tuning it a lot. To have more fun together I purchased a Savage Flux HP for me which didn't need a lot of tuning, but i started to spraypaint bodies and did some small improvements. Last year in fall I decided that I need winter project and bought a used baja 5Bss roller, a new Castle conversion Combo and a Kraken TSK-b cage. This Project will be finished soon...winter was long -lol. Im going to open a thread in the LargeScale section, too ! AJs battery baja thread motivated me to switch from a reader to a writer as he uses very similar parts ! Cheers ! Thomas P.S. sorry if my English isn't perfect !
