I am wanting to buy new buggy for racing and am stuck to choose between hong nor x1-cr pro uk or the hyper 8. Anyone got any experience with either of the models? especially the hong nor as that looks more equiped from the specs so far. I have a hyper 7 now and am going to sell that off as spares if anyone interested aswell?

have a look at this hyper 7 tq rtr this will get you a race legal decent buggy with enough left for decent steering servo, glowstart fuel etc

i had the hb mazda with the 3 wings and you can tell a slight difference to handling when you change them i was quite surprised. was a very good shell!

I have always wondered what everyone else uses in their starter box and which is best? from a guess i would say that two stick packs would pack a bit more punch but run out quicker, and the 12v will last longer but less punch shall we say.

from what i remember the standard one is 13t and i notice most racers on set up sheets say they use 14t mostly which will give you a more top end and a tiny bit less acceleration. iv gone for a 14t for my new engine but haven't run it yet so cant compare

iv found out that they reduce the temperature of your esc when used and stop back emf also found out why i don't see many people using them as you can't use them on reversible esc's

I was wondering everyones opinion to whether you need to have a diode on your motor i recently purchased a hara twister 2.1 and it says to put on their diode on to every motor but this is the first time i have done this and never did with any of my previous ones. what does the diode do and is it needed? i look around the pits and see not many have diodes fitted. any help would be appreciated

if you are going to be doing jumps id say to get the cnc steering nuckles an the standard ones just snap too easy. i replaced them on mine after snappin loads of standard ones an hav no trouble at all they well worth the 20-30 sqwid

when i ran odonells in my hyper 7 it was extremely boggy and alot of excess crap and juice came out of exhaust so i switched to blue thinder which was lot lot better.

if you are looking to charge your glowstart faster consider one of these it will plug into the 12v supply you need for other charger aswell, i have purchased one but waiting for it to arrive. glow start charger

my mtroniks just blew up in my face yesterday after playing up for a while but before yesterday it has been the best speedo iv had

i have seen people just put tape around old touring car wheels and that makes them drift but that was on carpet

i tried to put in new gear bit but wasnt having it so i put in here because i though touring car ppl probably most interested plus i wish i had one of these to show off lol

here is the latest comm lathe from H.A.R.D it has a intergrated battery which you can charge seperately and a lever to slide tool across. the tool is also new as has a 3 faced diamond tip so if one breaks or wears you just spin it around and you have new tip ready. lastly it has some fancy mounts and rails Its all good but a bit ott if you ask me

iv been lookin for a tuned pipe to go with my go 7 port im going to purchase and have found the jammin jp-3 so was just wondering whether anyone is using one, or know if they are any good. any help would be great, rich

hi everyone though id best introduce myself as im new to this forum. iv been interested in this hobby for a few years now and the obsession has grown meaning the bank balance falling ehich i think most of you experience i race touring cars throughout the year as i have a yokomo bd grainger i also race 1/8th rally cross through summer as iv got a hyper 7 tq sport which is having a new GO 7 port engine installed next week and will soon be sold for my hyper 8 I race this at mold which is my nearest track well thats me and thanks for looking rich

thanks this is only like the 3rd shell iv done myself and was impressed with the outcome because i had a go of that liquid mask to do the pattern at the back and join the flame things

where can you get hold of the sts team engine i have seen the lower end ones. thanks for the replies but im almost cerain il go with the go now after a look at this one because i think the orion has been discontinued so parts are hard to come by aswell.

Has any one got any experience with these engines or have any suggestions they will be greatly appreciated.

i had the same trouble with my yokomo bd as there was no servo saver when i crashed there was nothing to absorb the crash meaning turnbuckles were poppin off and everything. iv got a fastrax one on my servo and this seems to have solved it

iv always been told never to mix your percentages of fuel you use in an engine as can cause serious harm plus i agree with sea118 because if you intend on using 25 % the engine needs to be bedded into that range and mixing fuels could cause unwanted problem, also i cant see the problem as the point of run in is to take it easy so it would be the same as using 20% and taking it easy.

were did you get the mount from? i am tempted myself i have a hyper 7 with a nacked engine

im soo jealous they are amazing cars, i love the centralness of the engine etc. very nice how does it drive?
