  1. Thanks for this post and all the pics too, am thinking about building this car for my first 1/10 scale 4wd racer. Am a relative newbie so all this was useful stuff to me, please keep the post going with any new progress/tips etc.
  2. Liking this kit as I am looking for a 1/10 scale car to build and start racing, was also considering the RB6 2wd which was recommended to me so not sure which way to go. As I am a newbie to the racing scene could someone tell me the advantages/disadvantages of 2wd v's 4wd and do they race in the same class?
  3. That's why I suggest you try looking for a Sports Club that's already up and running and may have a spare pitch or unusable area that could be rented. All you would have to do would be the groundwork, track, rostrum and pit area. Track surface needs some thinking about and I would suggest some form of semi hard surface with some fine loose gravel on top which could be used in all weathers.
  4. That would be great, there are no off road facilities within easy travel distance of me that cater for 1/8 scale. I would think the best place to start would be existing facilities such as Sports Clubs that may have ground that they would rent to you. They would already have facilities on site, clubhouse etc which would let you concentrate on the track, rostrum and pit area. There are plenty of old sports club grounds going to waste in my area at the moment that are worth considering if you have the money to develop them. Another option would be Farmland but not too much of that around in the Central London area, maybe the Queen has a spare corner in the grounds of Buck Pal.
  5. Need some setup advice for Toe-in, Toe-out and camber adjustments on a 1/8 brushless off-road racing buggy. I'd like to learn the theory behind different adjustments as well as recommendations.
  6. I was wondering what everyone uses for general lubrication of moving parts for day to day use (eg Motor pinion and spur, suspension mounts, pivots, drive shaft couplings etc) WD-40 do some specialist aerosol lubricants such as: Water Resistant with Silicone Dirt & Dust Resistant Dry Lube with PTFE Protective White Lithium Grease Are these any good, if so for which parts? What about GT-85? Do you use just one everywhere or different lubes for different purposes, any tips, what to use, what not to use? Most important is probably motor pinion and spur, also drive shaft couplings. Advise please.
  7. I have used normal Superglue (the thin runny one) and I also have used some specifically for fixing tyres, looks exactly the same and both performed well.
  8. How's about posting them inside a LiPo bag.
  9. Does anyone here know of any 1/8 scale electric race meetings within easy reach of SE London or North Kent? I would like to go along, watch and see what goes on, alternatively 1/10 scale if there are no larger format races.
  10. Thanks for you reply but that's the problem, too many choices. What I need is recommendations, I am new to RC cars and don't want to make expensive mistakes on kit that is not good or not suitable as I have no idea what to look for.
  11. Need some wheel/tyre recommendations please for my 1/8 scale brushless off road buggies. I would like a spare set of on road wheel/tyre combinations to use for the occasional bash on car park or playground type surfaces particularly in the winter months when the grass is to wet/muddy for off road.
  12. Hi everyone, I'm fairly new here and learning lots from your posts. I bought my grandson a Himoto 1/8 brushless Shootout Buggy (i know, I know ..... I know now but I didn't know better then). It's been out twice on short grass at our local park and already one tyre has become detached from one of the front wheels and the other three are showing signs of becoming unstuck from the rims. I am going to try and glue them back on but I would like at least a couple of spares if not a new set of off road wheels with tyres either as spares or as upgrade/replacements. Will any 1/8 scale wheels fit this buggy or do I have to buy Himoto ones? Would be grateful for any suggestions as to replacements/upgrades and suppliers, thanks in advance.
  13. Well I want one cos it looks pretty, anyone know best place to buy it?

I am interested in your offer for the lot, see my message to you in the members section.
  15. I have a tyre that has become detached from the rim, it's a new tyre and rim and has only been out twice. Could someone please tell me what type of adhesive do I use to glue it back on?
