  1. I believe Modelsport stock Tamiya spares. Cheapest and first option for more speed would be to gear up, try changing the motor pinion to one a couple of teeth larger and see how it performs, check the motor and esc temperature after about 5 min run time and if they are not too hot then you can stick with that setup or try gearing up another 2 teeth on the pinion. When the motor and/or esc start to run too hot then it's time to fit a smaller pinion.

  3. Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year to you too.
  4. Shocks are all built and fitted making the suspension complete
  5. Thanks for all the help and guidance so far everyone, couple more questions if I may: 1. How should the stabilizers bet set/adjusted? 2. Is it wise or necessary even to use thread lock on the motor mounting screws?
  6. The Lunsford description for part #36102 is as follows: Kyosho Ultima RB6 Super Duty Ti Turnbuckle + 4.8mm Ball Cup Kit 2 - M3.5 x 55mm Super Duty Titanium Turnbuckles (Front Camber) 4 - M3.5 x 60mm Super Duty Titanium Turnbuckles (Steering & Rear Camber) 12 - 4.8mm Ball Cups with access hole for easy installation Which shows 3.5mm dia 55mm and 60mm long turnbuckles, the Kyosho ones on the other hand are 3mm dia and 40mm long.
  7. Yes Rudebits are showing stock but they don't actually have any, I have ordered twice from them over a few weeks and been refunded both time with apologies. You are right the correct part number is 2687 which I eventually found on the Lunsford site, I ordered directly from them in the end as DMS are out of stock also. I am pretty sure that the ones coming from DMS will be wrong as the dimensions are way off so will have to return them when they arrive.

Danny P is right, it's a Heli pitch guage.
  9. Can anyone tell me which Lunsford turnbuckles fit the zx6, part number or link would be very much appreciated.
  10. Don't think they are going to fit, it's very hard trying to find ones the right size as they don't list the car and there are hundreds on the Lunsford site, too many to just go through looking at dimensions. I'll put the stock ones in for now until Rude Bits get some stock, at least they know what fits.
  11. Won't know that until I get the ones I've ordered as I don't know how they are measured.
  12. I have ordered some from DMS but not sure if they are the right ones, the guy I spoke to wasn't sure but the ones he found fit the RB5 and are Lunsford #36102. Lunsford don't list turnbuckles for the ZX6 and the description for this part number doesn't seem right somehow.
  13. Do you have the part Lunsford part number for the Turnbuckle set that fit the ZX6 please, I had ordered from Rude Bits but they are out of stock so looking elsewhere. I believe they are the Super Duty ones I require but not sure.
  14. Not very good pictures I'm afraid, only had my phone handy and it wouldn't focus properly. It's also in a difficulat location to get a clear shot. The second one shows where I've reamered the Servo Mount to clear the shaft which was actually touching at the very front of the mountiing. https://www.dropbox.com/s/89do7c4d54047yq/20141218_141840.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/utzsjazcrpn3v4k/20141218_135250.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/pl1cfbnu94cmamw/20141218_135330.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/zueupzpjmclz7h9/20141218_135354.jpg?dl=0
  15. When you do get around to changing the connectors make sure that when you cut the existing connector off you cut the wires one at a time, you don't want to short out the battery or you'll get a very nasty surprise. Sorry if you already knew this but better safe than sorry.
  16. Reamered the Servo mount to clear the drive shaft it was actually touching at the front edge so got a clearance now.
  17. I was talking to some of the guys at Maritime last night and they agree.
  18. I built it unpinned. Yes I think mine is not quite touching but it is very close, couldn't get any light behind it last night to see and will check again before deciding. I'm not 100% familiar with the workings of the slipper clutch and will have to give it some more thought but with regards to the pin I took advice from this post: http://www.oople.com/forums/showthread.php?t=153612&page=2
  19. Got the Slipper Clutch Assembly done tonight. Think I'm going to change the Servo orientation to Straight as the mounting is almost touching the front drive shaft, don't think you'd get a fag paper between them they may even be touching. It's either that or shave a bit off the plastic mount to give a bit more clearance, I'll sleep on it and see what tomorrow brings. I had to remove the servo to get the shaft in, irritating.
  20. You should be able to drill them out with a drill bit slightly smaller than the bolt size eg for a 3mm dia screw pilot with a 1mm drill bit, then move up in 0.5mm increments. They should fall out by the time you get to 2mm drill size. This obviously depends on you having access to the screw head with a drill.
  21. Ha, know where you're coming from. We moved to a smaller house last year, so hard to hide anything nowadays. Funny part is, I only hide things for a little while and when she asks if it's new I say "No, bought it ages ago" Lol
