  1. You can use the memory for either, it's designed for use with different cars but if you regularly change your setup for the same car for different tracks etc there it may be more convenient to create another model profile and save it instead of editing your settings each time.

    yeah really

He's not selling it as an RC enthusiasts car, he's selling it as a collectable toy. If it really is collectable then it may well be worth the price to someone who wants it, be interesting to see if it sells.
  3. Spray-on liquid insulation is also worth a try, it's designed for insulating electrical components and is great for waterproofing car electrics but could be used on the body to great effect I think. Downside is it's expensive.
  4. I don't see a problem with Silicone Sealant but use the 'Low Modulus' variety which has better adhesion and flexibility properties than High Modulus or cheaper retail variants. Although I haven't tried it yet for myself, I am considering it's use as Shoe Glue is a pain to apply neatly. I still think Shoe glue is better for repairs but maybe Silicone could be a better alternative for protection/reinforcing.

  6. I use MB Models for my Kyosho spares, competitive prices and excellent service. They have a large stock and will get to order any parts they don't very quickly, best to call them if you don't have the part numbers. http://www.rccarshop.co.uk/index.php/spares/kyosho.html
  7. As Nutty P says, if you want more top speed you need a pinion with more teeth. Try going up by a couple of teeth at a time until you get the speed you want without losing too much acceleration, be sure to check your motor and esc temperatures after running for about five minutes with each change of pinion. If the car is running too hot you may need to gear down again.
  8. As long as it's Taxed and Insured I'm sure it would be fine :-) Another reason for not letting run an ic vehicle on forestry land would be the fire risk, may not be so risky this time of the year but a blanket ban is easier to enforce than seasonal allowances, consideration also has to be given to animal life that can be disrupted as unnatural noise can disturb many animals and prevent them from living and breeding in the area . I would go along with the others that have posted here and suggest that you try and discuss it politely with the guy (who is after all only doing his job to protect the environment), if you can convince him that you are responsible and concerned about safety, preservation and consideration of animal life he may be able to suggest a place that is suitable for you to run your car.

    lets see...

Was she talking about the flower vase? lol
  10. Oh I see, you were referring to the Bead-loc wheels. I haven't come across those before, bit too heavy for racing buggies though I would think.
  11. No tyre glue? Please elaborate. Do Badlands not need gluing on the Split Six Rims?
  12. I just set a 90deg bend close to the bullet connector and heatshrink around it to keep the shape.

    Help!

    Shouldn't you be asking Modelsport?
  14. eBay is full of stuff that sells for a higher price than you can buy for new from retailers, anyone who gets locked into a bidding war without doing research is either lazy or foolish. One hard and fast rule when buying from eBay is to only ever pay using the dreaded PayPal, it's costly for sellers but it means security for buyers. I have learned from bitter experience.
  15. I was on their site late this afternoon but it's down at the moment.
  16. What Jordan said or Gorilla Tape the stronger version of Gaffa Tape.
  17. Thanks for your comments guys, the nail clipper method appeals to me the most so I will try that and see how it goes.
  18. Hi evssv, would you please give more detail, which cutter/grinder/sanding bit do you use?
  19. I don't have any Gerbals only two large dogs but they tend to chew the whole tyre :-)
  20. That's a good idea. I always find that a knife tends to push the thin bits of rubber aside rather than cut through cleanly and scissors are very difficult to get in the right position to cut properly.
  21. What method do you use to trim the excess rubber left over from the moulding process on buggy tyres before fitting to rims and is it really necessary? I find this a most irritating task and haven't really perfected an easy way to do it, just don't want to be wasting time if it's not really necessary.
  22. I have the Serpent Cobra and it's great, can be bought in the UK from Elite Racing http://eliterc-online.co.uk/
  23. You could change the Deans for bullets or you could change the bullet for Deans, assuming that you can solder that is. Alternatively go to SMC Racing http://www.smc-racing.net/index.php?route=product/category&path=67_78 for the best batteries which are also available with Deans connectors at great prices.
