  1. That is one thing I did mention earlier in this thread but the integy ones seem to have a 45
  2. Cheers Anthoop the 2 that are worn may have a slight angle on them but not a massive amount. I have ordered new shoes and springs. I will use the 1.1mm springs aswell and I have got the answer rc three shoe clutch tool aswell to make sure I get them on correctly just incase it was partly my fault last time just using a screwdriver (maybe i didnt push the shoes down flush to the flywheel or bent the spring too much) I don't think I did but just to be safe. I will run a bit of emery cloth around the inside of the bell and re fit then see if it still moves on idle if it does I will just buy the integy set and remove/replace flywheel and use the integy shoes and springs that come in the conversion kit. Fingers crossed it will work but if not I will do as you say make a new thread about removing flywheel. Cheers again for your advice and patience throughout :-)
  3. Coffee table destroyed (nitro is a good varnish stripper literally just peels) needs a good sand and varnish again spilt nitro on it and when trying to get firestorm working it actually worked and as I tried to lift of table turned out idle is too high and wheels burnt table. Also got dents where screwdrivers and tools have being put down. Need to stop using coffee table as a workbench but so cold in shed atm. :-(
  4. Yes there is a firestoem thread but on another forum and they recommend the answer rc shoes. Some use integy alloy (which is was in the car when I bought it) or the savage clutch shoes. I have checked the old integy shoes compared to the answer rc ones and they are identical shape/size other than the integy ones seem to have had are shame on the edges
  5. Thanks for this and looking at the shoes it appears 2 are ruined (the 2 redish looking ones) 5 he black one looks ok. And the "mushrooming is on both sides of the redish ones so this would have made things worse as they were pushing out that bit more which makes me believe that they weren't seated properly as if they were flush on the flywheel to mushroom at the back would be hard. Also one of the redish ones actually managed to close the gap over the spring so can't get the spring out. Either way give us your opinion please below are images. I hope these help and sorry tinypic has decided to rotate them for myself. With regards to clutch bell for time being I think I will run a bit of emery cloth around the inside as it doest feel like there are gawges/deep scratches just surface scuffs which again s leads me to believe that the 2 shoes that are reddish have scraped and caused heat which has changed the colour of the paint on them.
  6. Tamiyacowboy seeing as I firstly don't have the old flywheel/shoes and wrap around spring and after looking in ebay these go for about
  7. Dirtbag where is the firestoem thread all I can is the firestorm e thread.
  8. I weren't even aware there was 2 servos. :-o
  9. I already have one if them clutch nuts installed so don't see how it is that. And I got told not to turn the clutch h nut around as it was the correct way but looked like the springs had rode up a bit and I haven't asked in the firestoem thread vat have looked through and where I found out that answer rc shoes are what are used frequently
  10. Issue I have with this is the guy I bought it from don't have the original flywheel and shoes and I don't know anyone with a firestorm so can't ask them either. I got the original bell housing. I really don't want to have to buy the old flywheel and shoes as I would much rather just buy a new three way flywheel and clutch shoes and springs. I am stuck now and this is all that is stopping running this running sweetly. The shoes I have took out are pretty worn which I would put down to running with clutch engaging all the time. One of the shoes weren't sitting flush to the flywheel I know that much.
  11. I am not sure where to ask this as it might be the same for nitro and electric and possibly even petrol. So here it goes are all servos interchangeable for one and other? Do I need to match the servo with anything in my car? If I get a servo with alot of torque will I bend my arms/rods? Namely I am looking to upgrade my hpi firestorm 10t nitro's servo but so many to select and I'm not 100% sure as what to go for any help would be appreciated.
  12. Shall I order answer rc clutch shoes or the integy setup and just put new integy flywheel and shoes on aswell? (I already have integy flywheel but would just buy the lot and do it again, I do think this is an overkill though) if the lata do I need a flywheel puller or can I use a screwdriver?
  13. I thought brushless motors were fine with out heatsink or fans. I switched my brushed motor that had a heatsink on for a brushless leopard and never put the heatsink back on. Reading this maybe I should. I got 2 so might try and put both on to help temps.
  14. What do you mean by binding loop?
  15. Shame there not sets of 4 they all individual tyres ain't they?
  16. Also the clutch bell is a integy 19t vented bell.
  17. Cheers for replying. And the setup using the integy three flywheel (is the integy one) is made for the firestorm so that shoukd be fine. Granted I was using different shoes I was using the answer rc but o lg because again this were recommended for the firestorm. I am going to order another set of shoes and springs and the tool. One of the shoes definitely wasn't flat on the flywheel so going to hope it was just down to not being seated correctly. I can buy the integy set up again but after browsing Google answer rc are meant to be better for the firestorm. Why would I need another bell?
  18. I can't remember if it was just the spring and I will have to check the rear of the flywheel but haven't got a flywheel puller but will have to wait till bot 5 ish? If not I can just buy the integy set again to be safe and use the integy shoes but I read that the answer rc were the ones to use or a savage 3 shoe piece kit.
  19. The flywheel I believe is a integy 3 flywheel the reason I say that is because I found on ebay the integy triple flywheel and clutch shoe kit which I believe was in there before I changed them to the rc answer ones. I will stick a show back on and send an image but when I took em off one appeared to be have a gap between the flywheel and the shoe itself but the other 2 seemed to sit flat against the flywheel. 221565307448 that is the item number to what I believe is on there (I am 90% sure of this) I can't be 100% as I did buy it used but going by the other hop ups and also the colour of the shoes I took off when I replaced to the answer rc ones I would say integy. With regards to the burrs this is a definite possibility as both sides had burs front and back of the shoes.
  20. I got a carnage (the 4wd truggy vantage) is a bit slower but pretty robust and when something breaks parts a cheap (I have upgraded to brushless and slammed into a wooden gate ruined one suspension arm, cvd and pin) was able to but the whole front end for
  21. I am going to buy new shoes and springs over the weekend just to be on the safe side I have also got a three clutch shoe tool coming and can Anthoop confirm whether or not I need one of the nuts that were mentioned above or not. I will clean the bell then hopefully all will be well when I come to out it together next week :-)
  22. It appears I do have one of them nuts on the car I have just taken the shoes off and as can be seen above I do have one of them yo - yo looking nuts but is it back to front shoukd the lip be at the back?
  23. When you say ridge do you mean the lip that looks like it is sitting at the front of mine? I have just taken he engine out and took 5 he shoes off this is what I have got.
  24. I can't get this link to work Ignore that it works now me being dumb
