  1. Tried looking but needle in haystack! Think u may have misunderstood which drive shaft it was. It wasn't a drive shaft that drives the front wheels it was the long front drive shaft from centre diff to front diff but Model Sport is only 20 mins away and they had 4 in stock so bought 2, just in case.
  2. Cheers Tug. Only 20 mins away so will take them in tomorrow. Sadly i dont own anything as technical as a multimeter! Looks like i need a bigger Lipo then!!
  3. Hey all. Recently bought the Flux version and very impressed to say the least. Took it out for a bash today on mostly flat grass and managed to somersault it end over end after hitting a hidden bump. Drove it back in steady and checked for damage but nothing was broken (phew!) I noticed it started being very tail happy, even on grass with rally tyres on but battery died soon after. Took shell off it to clean etc and when i went to oil the front drive shaft cups the shaft was gone! Is this a common thing as dont want to be going through drive shafts at this rate? Car is totally standard apart from the wheels and rally tyres.
  4. Ok so i bought a HPI WR8 Flux and an extra Lipo. Its an Orion Rocketsport 3200mah, 11.1V (3s) rated 25C, hardcase and was recommended to me by the guys at ModelSport. Also bought an Overlander RC6-VSP 80W/7A AC/DC balance charger. Read all instructions thoroughly and repeatedly as am total noob to Lipos. Also checked various forums (including here) just so i made sure i covered all the bases. Decided to balance charge the Lipo the first time so plugged it all in, checked, double and triple checked all settings and started charging. After it had finished it told me the battery was full so removed and stored overnight. Ran it in the Flux today but didnt seem to last very long, around 15-20 mins of mixed bashing on mostly flat grass. Got home and plugged it in to charge and used the exact same settings. However, it was only seeing the Lipo as a 2s, not a 3s so checked all settings but still seeing it as a 2s. In the charger manual it says if you either storage charge or discharge the Lipo if there is a cell error you can press the INC KEY (one with plus symbol) during the error message it will tell you the individual cell voltage but i cannot get it to do this. So i tried to do a charge as a 2s just to see if it would error again but it tried to start charing, then told me it was full so leads me to believe one cell has totally discharged, leaving the other 2 full which i understand is a very bad thing but the Lipo is not warm, swollen, nor does the hard case show any sign of damage or cracking so could someone tell me what has happened here and can i take it back to exchange it. Sorry for the long post but wanted to make sure i covered everything.
  5. Just got back into rc's after a long while. Been using Hall Park but not seen anyone else there yet! Anyone use(d) Yeadon Tarn?
  6. New to the forum (introduced meself in newbs section) and will try to get there as I live in Bingley. Be good to give the WR8 Flux a good bash!
  7. 8. Hi there! Been off work sick for the last month and as the boredom crept in i decided to buy an rc car to keep me entertained. I had one many many years ago as a teenager (Tamiya Hornet) and remember spending many hours building, thrashing and inevitably fixing it! Bought myself a Thunder Tiger TS4N Sport V2, mainly as i had always wanted a nitro car but they were ridiculously expensive back in the day. Spent a few days running it in and tinkering with it and found this forum to help me with a few issues i was having. Didnt take me long to get hooked and decided i wanted something as a good all rounder so after doing some proper research decided to buy a Ken Block WR8 Flux and WOW does that thing go! Anyways I have been lurking on here a while so decided i may as well register and make it all official so here i am I live in Bingley atm and work in Leeds so hopefully get to meet a few of the local bashers in the not too distant future!
