  1. Done! Cheers for the help. Running really smoky though. Deffo need to lean it out. Also need to get to grips with how the controller works. Then aligned the wheels! So much to do! Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  2. Yeah, I put it back to factory setting but!....when it says four and a half full turns, does that mean four 360degree turns? Because it seems like alot Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  3. I'll be home soon so I'll let you know how I get on. Just in case these ideas don't do the trick, is there any other common problem that it could be? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  4. Yeah, I'm yet to try the hair dryer thing. I'll give that a go when I'm home. I'll also try the blowing into the tube idea instead of covering the exhaust. Apparently, its more of a sure fire way? Still got a feeling its not going to start Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  5. Is that the same as covering the exhaust and pulling the pull start. I'm pretty sure the tubing if full of fuel. Maybe it hasnt reached the carb though. But again, would the covering the exhaust method not do the same? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  6. As above. Just got my first nitro from eBay. I can't for the life of me get the engine going. Iv checked the glow plugs and glow starter and there fine. There's fuel in the tank. When I pull the pull start it sounds like its nowhere near to starting. The person I bought it from mentioned that i may need to force the fuel through to start. I'm not sure what he means by this?
  7. I did yeah! I suppose I was just wondering out loud when I asked. Cheers though
  8. This could do the trick? http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B001T9OX8Q?cache=5f2e3e6645b83061e37b0db4480c1448&qid=1401006022&sr=8-2#ref=mp_s_a_1_2
  9. Ye, that's cool. Didn't think about searching for a rc set of tools. Do any UK model shops sell those?
  10. Iv got a decent screw driver set. No hex screw drivers though yet or Allen keys. I'm looking for a multi too Allen key preferably to keep it all neat. Anything else that would be ideal to be in there?
  11. Whilst waiting for my car to be delivered, I thought I'd try put together a simple tool box with all the things I might need. But then, with being a beginner, I realised I didn't even know which tools I'm likely to need. Would do you lot use? Cheers
  12. Disappointed about that. Is it worth getting A .21 off eBay and are they easily interchangeable?
  13. Good to hear it Andy. Just read that you can't race a .28 engine in A 1\8 scale race? Is that true?
  14. Ended up getting messed around with they hyper 21. Went on eBay and paid slightly more for the newer hyper 7 sport with the 28 engine. Got a little desperate but over all happy to have it on its way
  15. I totally agree with what your saying and plan to take it really slow. I'm just interested in what can be done down the line if I choose to upgrade it. Mainly I suppose im just trying to learn and understand what parts do what
  16. Could you tell me more about the above upgrade? What part would I need? I really am new to it all and understand only the very basics
  17. Cheers for the in depth answers. Think I'll go for the hyper then. I'm looking to get a buggy firstly for fun, but with a view to possibly racing. Thanks for the advice on the clutch. I might just do that. Is there any other obvious upgrades and that are worth considering? The servo has already been upgraded apparently
  18. Sorry for double post. My first thoughts were the hyper but the only thing that put me off was that its the first edition but I have read elsewhere that its not all that different to the newer hypers. Also, I was swayed by the engines. 21 in the hyper and 28 in the virus. What's your views on the engines? My budget is only around
  19. Hi Iv been looking to buy a 1/8th nitro buggy for the last few days and decided that, on my budget I'm going to have to buy 2nd hand. Iv now narrowed it down to 2 choices. The old style hyper 7 .21 or a totally rebuilt ansmann virus .28. Both will cost around the same so I'm literally just comparing cars. Please help
