  1. Hi all. Im looking for a new charger. Budget is upto around £80. Needs to be able to charge all batteries, not too bothered about charging more than one battery at a time. Most importantly I want a charger I can rely on when it comes to safety and accurate readings. I was looking at the team Orion advantage touch but the charging current seems a little bit low for the price.
  2. I didn't wait as I'm now convinced there's a problem with balancing. Giving false readings Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  3. Last couple of times I've balance charged a lipo it didn't seem to be charging right so I ended up just charging them normally. Today I've attempted to balance charge a good condition 2s battery and decided to watch it closely. I've noticed that the individual cells seem to be discharging but when i remove the battery and check it with a voltage reader, the reading is different from the one of the screen of the charger. Is this normal when balance charging?
  4. I think they said yes originally because they assumed it would be cheap. Found out it wernt a toy and changed their minds Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  5. I'll complain as I believe that it should actually be covered. If they're right and it isn't covered, then I'll complain as the policy wording isn't clear enough and it makes it too easy for providers to hide behind grey areas Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  6. They admit they originally said it was covered and have notes of the conversation happening.
  7. Basically, I have an ongoing claim and one of my rcs were part of that claim. After a thorough description of what the rc was, they decided it was covered. Today they have decided it isn't because of the whole 'mechanically propelled vehicle' Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  8. I've asked them and they don't seem to be sure themselves. They originally said that it was as it's a model car so that it was covered but when they realised it moved they said it would be classed as a mechanically propelled vehicle. I looked the definition of this up in more detail - a mechanically propelled vehicle was a term thats used in the road traffic act 1988. I mentioned this to them and pointed out with that logic that other things like train set trains wouldn't be covered. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  9. Anybody ever claimed for one of their rcs on a home insurance policy? Whether it's a burglary or a fire or whatever. If so, what was the outcome? My policy states that model cars, model trains, train sets, etc are covered. But mechanically propelled vehicles or toys are not. Surely if Rc cars are classed as mechanically propelled then shouldn't a train from a train set be treated the same way? A quick Google of 'mechanically propelled vehicles' seems to indicate that this refers to road worthy vehicles. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  10. I think iv been too soft here. I've opened a dispute for a partial amount of £21 ( amount suggested by PayPal) as I believe the problem is a defective flight controller. The drone itself cost £210 all in all. I think id be happy with that because I'd like to keep it and get it working! Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  11. Round in circles now and it's looking like they don't want to help. Keep asking me to try obvious things to try. Looking like dispute time Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  12. I have a response!! Unfortunately not a very useful one though. They have just basically asked me if I've turned it in and armed it correctly. Probably another couple of days until my next reply Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  13. I'll give them abit longer. But I did use PayPal luckily. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  14. You will have to let me know how it gets on with that leeb. 4 month is ridiculous noj. I haven't received a response now for over 24hours. First few emails were almost instant replies Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  15. Wow, abit worrying. Obviously don't mind returning a defective item, but not at my cost. Hopefully I'll get an email back soon with a resolution. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  16. Really good to hear because it wasn't a cheap quad. not cheap for me anyway. Hopefully they will send a replacement. But will they ask for me to send back the defective item? Bit concerned about that as it came from laos and it's a big parcel! I imagine it would be expensive to send back Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  17. Yeah, I realise that but I mean the language used seems to be going down hill. For example, they started off by saying, sounds like we have unfortunately sent you a defective product, now there saying we will have to check with the manufacturer to prove its defective. Just procedures I guess Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  18. Anybody had any experience in dealing with them when things go wrong? I have just taken delivery of a defective drone and at first communication seemed good but now I'm not so sure. I'm awaiting a response but would be good to hear if anyone else has dealt with them
  19. For the last couple of days I've been researching different quad options and realised there's a lot of choice. I read through plenty of the other topics on here too and learned a lot already. The quad I came closest to choosing is the syma x8hg but I'm still not convinced. My budget is around £150-£200 and i would need a transmitter in with that price. I want something with a decent camera as it would be used for the odd day out rather than for racing or anything serious. Any help would be appreciated Cheers
  20. The part I am referring to is SW-2501114. It's the part shaped like a W
  21. Hi. Got a question for those of you who have built the sworkz. When attaching the shock towers to the gearboxes, do you use the supplied gearbox inserts? The manual doesn't show these.
  22. Just got myself a new evo 2. How are you all finding the buggy? Any tips or important upgrades?
  23. Hi all I've asked this question on another forum but wanted to get more answers. Ive got a new buggy on the way (sworkz evo 2) and I'm hoping to use a lipo or life receiver battery. My servos that I was planning to use are savox 1256 and a goteck hv1767. Both are very similar spec. Obviously the goteck is high voltage, but my first question is, would the savox cope with 7.4v? second question, if it wouldn't cope, does any one have any hv servo recommendations for throttle for around £30 I was also wondering how the receiver would cope. I'm using a flysky reciever. cheers
  24. Ahhh good. Just never noticed before. Cheers for the quick answer![emoji106]
  25. Just noticed this today with the top off the start box. Should it spark? There's a slight flash in each one of the starter motors The box is a smd evo with a 12v lead acid Cheers
