  1. Does anyone paint the interior of their LB bodies?
  2. Where can a guy obtain a copy of the body instructions for the re-released Renault Alpine 58591?
  3. I used regular $ store paper covered foam board and the tape I ordered from Hobby King. I use a 2 level heat gun on level 1 except when glueing long lengths, then I use the hottest level to ensure the glue at the start of a run is still hot enough to bond when I get to the far end. If it starts to melt the foam I just use a little extra glue. These planes are so over powered a little extra weight is no big deal.
  4. Well for starters I don't like the Tamiya servo saver and use the KIMBROUGH servo savers, also make sure you use the correct horn for your servo.
  5. What is a good choice of steering servo for Pumpkin/Lunchbox?
  6. Fancy a bit of retro RCing so I picked up the black chrome Pumpkin and the low rider Pumpkin. I want the chrome body for the low rider and have picked up a Parma Pumkin body to bash on the original. I might try to find a 2nd styrene body and rear axle to build another 6 wheeler, they can be fun.
  7. I sold the truck a couple months ago, it was just not getting used. It was lightning fast even on 4s, handled well even on asphalt and was robust. However it was too much of a missile for my grandson and I was afraid he would injure himself or someone else. After the initial set up the truck ran flawlessly, I never ran the original body or blower so it looked like new when I sold it. I should confess I have only ever owned 1 other monster truck, the original Savage SS so I don't have much to compare it to. I preferred it over the Savage just because it was electric, no tuning or mess. Naturally it was faster than the Savage as the SS only had the 25 motor. 50% of my time is now spent on fixed wing and quads but if I wanted another monster truck I would not hesitate buying the Kyosho.
  8. Ordered on Saturday 29 Mar received in Canada Thursday 2 April before lunch. Well done Banzai Hobby.
  9. What do you think of the Sakura D3 CS Sport drift car, I can pick one up for $150 or
  10. This car will be used for recreation, no racing. Is there an advantage to installing a ball diff?
  11. I'm painting an ABS body i.e. exterior paint. There are 4 main colours, purple body, gold roof, white bonnet, windows dark gray. In what order do you suggest I paint it?
  12. Thanks that was my guess too, I was hopping to confirm 100%.
  13. What is the difference between Tamiya? 53254 60D SUPER GRIP RADIAL TIRES and 50684 60D M-GRIP RADIAL TIRES
  14. I have a couple alternate bodies for my Wraith that have separate grills, headlights etc. Whats the best method for attaching these? Can I use adhesive if so what kind and should I paint first or will that weaken the bond?
  15. Thanks for the suggestions guys. Nitroholic you got me thinking with your TA01/2 comment as I can buy a 1/10 ARTA Garaiya TB-03 Kit for around $200 or
  16. I'm building a replica of George Polley's 70's 105E Anglia hotrod sponsored by GW & G Bridges Breakers. Based on a Kamtec body/ M-06 chassis. I remember the roof was gold, the front of the bonnet was white but I need to know was the rest of the car maroon or purple/magenta? Any help would be appreciated.
  17. I've bought a couple of old saloon car bodies which have 260mm wheelbase and 190mm width. Any suggestions for good chassis to place under these bodies which would provide good rally/road race performance & RWD. I would prefer to stick to the manufacturers listed as they have good support in my area.
  18. I don't need retro re-tools I just need time to refurbish what I have. A few years back I bought a bunch of spares and upgrades so it's just the time I lack. By the way I raced Ultimas and Optimas back in the 80's and they were tougher than most but if you are going to bounce them off of curbs they are going to break. Here's my fleet waiting to be worked on.
  19. Are these available in the UK? I'm a relatively new flyer and not that good therefore I have managed to crash my 1st plane The Apprentice a few times. It started to do a number on my head to the point I didn't want to fly. Then I bought a Flite Test Old Fogey. Before I built it I purchased some more sheets of foam board and traced the pattern so I had a replacement should I crash. I didn't crash but I did shut the wing in the car door. So I built a replacement but made it 6" wider. It flew even slower and was a lot of fun. Long story short you can have a lot of fun for a few pennies even creating your own design and most important there is no fear of flying because there's little cost to crashing.
  20. The Wraith was his initial pick until I started using the Twin Hammers, "Can we trade?" he said "I like the driver and it goes faster". He enjoyed the donuts on the bare dirt. When the 2nd battery was dying he asked for "the orange truck". He ran the Telluride through one battery on 50% mode when I replaced the battery I upped it to Sport Mode 100% he definitely liked that. "This battery is much better than the last one grandpa". We never got to the Kyosho. During the couple hours he managed to hit trees, fences, the trampoline legs you name it he hit it but I guess we were lucky some road rash on the bodies but no damaged parts. We ran his Losi Mini Crawler but he found it too slow and then I notice that one front wheel would loose drive as soon as there was resistance, I don't have a clue what it could be so I guess it will require an investigative strip down. When I dropped him off to play with his cousins he asked "Can we do that again Granpa?" so I guess he enjoyed it.
  21. I've only run it on asphalt so far and limited jumps to the long horizontal type so it has not really been tested. The almost flat pan type chassis is about a 1/8" thick and I know others have critisized this saying a MT should have the double chassis like the Savage but for my use it will be fine.
  22. Yes Tug it is the new release, I'm just protecting it's ordinal body/blower.
  23. I'll let you know, I have a feeling it will be the Kyosho hence it's wearing it's basher body but I hope it's the Wraith. He has an awesome ravine back yard that is terraced so lots of hill and shallow stair climbing which will suite the 2 rock crawlers. I'll post photos of the terrain and carnage:)
  24. I'm picking up my almost 6 year old grandson later today and part of our day will be spent RCing. Currently he uses a Losi Mini Rock Crawler. So where's your money, when I open my boot which car will he choose first? Will it be colour, size, details like drivers or
