  1. On my first ever nitro rc car (HPI Bullet ST 3.0) and using Optifuel RTR 20% and it is smokey. I think once i've got through this bottle of fuel, i'll change to the 'Race' version instead.
  2. I'm also interested in this. Usally only lasts for about 5 minutes on a full tank.
  3. Hump pack charger was faulty, so it wasn't fully charging the battery. Replaced for free.
  4. The issue is sorted now guys. Thanks for the input.
  5. Well i guess that depends on each person and how they drive it. I've tested it again with new AA's in the battery holder and it runs fine. Had a volt meter on the new hump pack after 24 hours of charging and it reads 4.5v and the charger light doesn't light up any more, so i think it's faulty. Got a replacement on the way.
  6. I'll stick the hump pack on charge for a bit longer and see if that sorts it
  7. Tried Modelsport but they dont seem to want anything to do with it. Receiver pack was brand new a few days ago and charged for 16 hours.
  8. 15175 should be the right part number mate.
  9. I can set it to idle without moving yes. Also noticed that when the throttle servo moves, the steering servo twitches. Which makes me think it's an electronic issue.
  10. It's virtually brand new, bought it a few weeks ago. This is the 4th time I've come to use it.
  11. I have new batteries in both the transmitter and the receiver though...
  12. Just an update on this, put new batteries in the Tx and a brand new hump pack battery in the RX and still having a weird problem. Basically I tested that the power was working by holding full brake and the servo would go to brake then back to neutral then back to brake in a repeating fashion. It also plays up on full throttle and and steering. Anyone got a clue what is happening. Obviously batteries are ruled out, is it a dodgey receiver or transmitter. Would re binding the pair possibly work?
  13. Yeah it's a 4 AA holder. A 3+2 hump pack should fit i think.
  14. OK. I'll get a rechargeable pack, any you recommend that will fit in the weather sealed unit of the Bullet ST?
  15. I'd say less than 10mins per tank, more like 5.
  16. Yeah the 4 AA's It's only been ran for about 10 tanks of fuel, wouldn't have thought the batteries would be dieing yet. I'll get a rechargeable pack though. I'm going to check the fail safe too and set it again if need be.
  17. Using the batteries that came with the RTR kit. The manual says the fail safe is setup to full brake from factory.
  18. All batteries are brand new. Fail safe was working when i first used it as i tested it by pulling full throttle on the radio and then switching the radio off and the servo went back to neutral. Brakes are working perfectly. Only thing i can think of is interference, but surely that should be pretty rare...
  19. Bought a HPI Bullet ST 3.0 last weekend from Modelsport. Been running it in the past few days. Took it to a big unused car park today and something weird has happened... It took off full throttle into a kerb and smashed the front up. It did this all on it's own with absolutely zero input from me. I applied the brake and it did nothing, i then switched the radio off thinking the fail safe would kill the throttle and that didn't do anything either. What has happened??
  20. If it died when brakes were applied, then you need to turn the idle screw clockwise 1/8th of a turn until it no longer cuts out when braking.
  21. Not literally @super sharp shooter Haha
