Exactly there's been a reason for this delay , but i Cant figure it out , they discontinued the savage flux an at the time when I asked why , I was told because the xl flux will take it's place an be released soon that was back before summer ?

Hahaha the msg I just received from Hpi was a killer I'm still smilling [emoji2] . I asked if there were any news regarding the xl flux release ? Hpi : aw Danny the xl flux is a new model and will be showcased at the German model show 2016 ! Me : sadly I know it's a New/old model an had been looking forward to it's release, I've also come to terms that by the time it's released it will be already outdated by the traxxas X-maxx ! Needless to say they haven't replied If I'm not mistaken the xl flux was first showcased at Nuremberg 2015 [emoji18] .

I've always found the way traxxas Describe the size of their cars a bit funny , but this is spot on , not a true 5th scale but darn close to it , in one neat box !

I really don't care what it looks like it's about what it can do and it's size , real ones have 10,000bhp v8 this has a tiny electric motor so really chalk an cheese , like Tug said if you want scale Tamiya do the models and m+s do the slippers lol .

Those aren't Maxx diffs, they're Revo diffs. Where'd you find that pic? The diffs on the two trucks are identical, just different housings. Yeah I just Googled them an looked on images , just thought they looked tight Hopefully we'll see something from someone [emoji2]

He's done something other than a simple gear change, but he's being cagey about what exactly. Hopefully he'll reveal all soon. I heard something at 53 seconds maybe it's the massive x-o1 spur gear lol .

I'd rather aftermarket diffs for a different motor anyhow , I've seen the Eu stuff the guys on here were talking abt , they look to be in a different league to anything I could imagine traxxas coming up with .

They should of thought of making up some diffs that can handle the 2028 before hand tho [emoji18]

31 mph is disappointing The more info I read on this truck the less I'm interested in it in stock form. The guy who recorded 31mph has since fitted a x-o1 spur gear and has seen 45 gps on 6s apparently !

Dhawk who produce them are new to me , but a few guys on the traxxas site have said they make decent yeti parts and looking forward to what they'll make for the x .

Yeah 35$ can't go wrong , they look good !

The stock motor might well be ok, we won't know until they've had a few good runs, although I don't like the cheap looking heatsink they've fitted. Yes i very much agree, it's early days yet an its probably a castle can anyways ! Someone made a comment that I thought was spot on , Traxxas seem to have known it needed that heatsink from the outset , I'm sure if they could of saved a few $$$ by not having to fit it they would of , and may that be the reason for the plastic motor mount , maybe the heatsink blew the budget lol .

It could, but you'd need a 12S capable ESC and it would destroy the motor. [emoji38] Yer I gather that much , my original idea for posting was to answer my own question of whether they'd fit in the first place [emoji2] . I'll be quite happy on 6s and standard combo to start off with, then like you said 1717 on 6s .
